One of the best roasts around, we were a table of 14 and all the food orders were correct, came out together, all hot and very tasty, lovely friendly staff and a gorgeous pub and setting. Thank you

The service here is always friendly and efficient. It's a cosy, clean pub. The food is delicious, especially the Sunday roasts. The meat is good quality, plentiful and really well cooked. There is a wide variety of delicious vegetables, including cauliflower cheese, mashed swede and carrots. There is a very big Yorkshire pudding and some nice roast potatoes. We all have healthy appetites but there was plenty of food to make us feel full. We have tried many roasts in the local area but this was one of the best. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately our party turned up at the premises after we had booked a table earlier but were informed they had a power cut , so were unable to serve us . We were forced to go elsewhere.

We were very impressed with the food and the service . We will return .

This was our 2nd time to eat at the crown as we enjoyed our 1st visit. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back. Prices are the average really I suppose for anywhere these days, unfortunately it just means we don’t go out quite as often because of this. No reflection on the business though, hospitality is struggling.

Four of us visited yesterday (Sunday) for a late lunch. We were seated close to the kitchen/service area which wasn’t ideal atmosphere-wise but okay. The chair cushions were pretty filthy. Two ate fish and chips, one had pork belly roast and one chicken Caesar salad. All were enjoyable although the salad was let down by soggy croutons. The puddings were very tasty & the service was attentive and the place had a good vibe.

One of our favourites. Great service, always very friendly and the food is excellent and good value compared to many places.

Excellent lunch with a group of 10 friends. We had the area by the fire place which made it more private. We were able to choose from the main menu and the waiter was very friendly and helpful. Food was served fresh and hot. Everyone enjoyed their meals and they were very tasty. Great service Dessert was even better and throughout the staff were great. Fab place for any occasion

The food was really good and tasty. The service was quick and friendly. The pub had a really nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.

We visited the Crown on Sunday 7th Sept after a lovely walk along the river. It was for our 6 Month anniversary and in that time have had many a meal out. We both agreed, it was the best meal we have had in those 6 months by far. Sunday Roast was so good, great variety to choose from and the selection of veg that came with the meal was perfect. Deserts were ridiculously good too. Will definitely be returning soon!

Went to the Crown with another couple on a recent Saturday Night. Lovely staff. Food well presented. Good varied menu and very tasty. Great range of beers. Would definitely go back

We live in Cookham and have now been to The Crown for breakfast, Sunday lunch and an evening meal. All have been excellent - quality food, friendly efficient service and REALLY generous portions. We've happily taken family along and will definitely do so again. Highly recommended.

We have visited the crown previously for an evening meal and had an amazing service and great food. This time we came for breakfast we had to wait 20 minutes for a drink and even longer to be served to ask what we wanted. The girls that were working didn’t really want to be there other customers came in and asked for breakfast but they weren’t taking any more orders for breakfast. Unfortunately this was a bad experiencing. Not entirely sure if we would return again.

We had a very good meal. We eat outside on the common. Service was good and so was the food. Lovely venue.
