We had a lovely meal here last night. The seafood sharing platter was excellent, the sticky toffee pudding devine and the atmosphere lovely. Also breakfast was superb this morning

Enjoyed a lovely 3 course Sunday Lunch here on 11/2. Service was great and food delicious with generous servings. Had the red pepper and tomato soup, the beef and chicken duo which came with roast carrot, roast parsnip, swede and turnip mash, roast potatoes, mixed cabbage greens, red cabbage, a lovely yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese and gravy. Followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream and a cappuccino. My only criticism would be the ice cream was quite solid initially but obviously soon melted in the hot sauce. The service had tailed off by the time I was ready to order coffee so I went up to the bar to order.

We came to the crown for a Sunday roast on the 11/2. The food was ok but the Yorkshire pudding was rock hard and the cheese sauce on the cauliflower cheese was very watery. As for veg if you don’t like cabbage your abit stuffed as no other veg is offered with regards to broccoli, carrots. We got our main meal really quickly but after that service was really poor. We decided to try the crown after it had been taken over by new management but unfortunately for us we thought it was over priced and under delivered with regards to food and cost.

Really lovely Sunday lunch, lovely staff and the refurbishment has been very tastefully done. Would highly recommend a visit.

On a recommendation we popped in for a mid-week lunch... friendly low-key staff, pleasant vibe, we ate a decent fish and chips plus a steak pie with mash. Nothing earth shattering, but all well cooked, nicely presented and for a fair price. And tasted great! So after some years in the wilderness it is good to see The Crown recover its mojo. We will be back!

Had a great pub lunch with the dog. Staff were great and food was very good too. Would absolutely recommend!

A special birthday occasion for my wife, this was the first opportunity to eat at The Crown. Following a warm welcome our choices were soon with us and found to be cooked to perfection. The portions were more than plentiful such that we felt we had to decline dessert, but then Tom and colleague arrived with a beautifully-prepared surprise birthday treat, accompanied by the traditional ditty. So, good voices, good grub, and a must-repeat experience. Thank you team!

Good food and fast service

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Crown. The food was delicious, very well presented & the portions were generous. We were a group of 6 so ordered a good range of mains between us, and we were all impressed. As we visited post xmas we couldn't managed starters or puddings but the choices looked inviting. Next visit we'll definitely try them & there will definitely be a next visit. The service was also excellent, attentive without being overbearing. We all agreed, The Crown is back on good form.

Lovely pub with great service, friendly and quick. Great wine choices. Mixed opinion on the food…the prawn and Pork starters were absolutely delicious but let down by hard stale bread on the burger.

We visited for brunch on Saturday 25/11/23 . A treat for a friend’s birthday . We had a warm welcome & were offered drinks before we looked at the menu which was great . Chloe served us & was fab - polite , smiley, attentive yet not overpowering . Coffee was really good . We both had the poached eggs and avocado on toast . The eggs were cooked to perfection . My friend fancied some hollandaise sauce with hers & Chloe sorted it straight away . We will be returning .

Excellent experience having lunch at The Crown Inn. The food was excellent and very well priced. Service and ambiance 'top notch' and Holly and Tom were very welcoming and accommodating to our requests.

First time eating at the Crown on the recommendation of an employee at the Odney Club in Cookham. Impressed with the decor and brightness of the entrance. Our server Ben was excellent and attentive. He recommended the Confit Duck to my wife and it was very good. Would come back when we are next in the area.
