I went to Zouk on a recent trip to manchester and would like to say i had a lovely experience. The staff were very friendly and pleasing. Food was to die for not had such good quality and fresh food like that. I would recommend it to anyone reading for a truly wonderful experience in a wonderful restaurant i would visit Zouk.

PLEASE READ THIS THEN AVOIDMy partner and I became very ill with food poisoning after ordering from here, after a day of constant diarrhoea and vomiting I contacted the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. I was then put on to someone who I've now found out not to be the manager but actually one of the chefs. She was incredibly rude and sarcastic (even laughing) and after a lot of awkward silences told me that that "she didn't have anything to say" and when I told her I would be contacting the local environmental office she told me to "go do that". My partner then called back and asked to be put in touch with the owner of these four restaurants; we've now had a call back from him today in which I got told how he's run the business for 17 years and how both he and his pregnant wife eat from there and how large their customer base is...totally irrelevant in this situation. After making my point again about how rudely we were spoken to and how ordering from there had meant that we both had a totally ruined next day as well as wasting £25, I was told that the absolute most he could do is offer us a 50 discount off our next order as a "goodwill gesture"- A TOTAL INSULT. Any 'goodwill' is clearly insincere. This is much more fitting for a late delivery or missing items than being made very ill. As if we would ever again eat from somewhere we got so ill off and give money to such a business.

Lovely food and atmosphere

might be a great place but when we walked in after a show we were told sorry the kitchen was closed. it was just 10:30 what a shame will I go again? no not really

Bollywood masala is a new concept which combines the heady cultural colours and extravagance of the bollywood film industry with the aromas and flavorous of the cuisines of the indian subcontinent with a fusion of western tastes. With this Restaurant we have modernized indian cuisine taking it to its next level yet still keeping its authentic flavorous approached in a contemporary fusion manner with different accents from around the world added to dishes making this visit a unique experience.

Firstly, let me say I'm Asian and I've grown up eating authentic, North Punjabi food. All too often, restaurants disappoint me with unauthentic food with far too much oil and food colouring - nothing like the food I grew up eating. I've been to Zouk around ten times now and each experience has been wonderful. The food has always been great - fresh, superbly spiced and seasoned and nicely presented. Meat dishes are so tender and the vegetable dishes are imaginative and a welcome break from the usual options in other establishments. The Nan and rotis are the best I've had. And the pilau rice is what it should be - cooked with cloves, cinnamon and spices rather that the coloured boiled rice you find in so many restaurants. The staff have always been polite and helpful. This place is far better than a couple of London based Michelin star Indian restaurants I've eaten in, and costs far less! Can't wait to go back soon. Highly, recommended.

I thought the old 110 restaurant food couldn't be improved. I was wrong. the food was superb, hot & full of flavour. Service cheerful & helpful. Well done Ellie. A great night out.

I also tried Bollywood Masala restaurant, I`ve been there with my friend and we really enjoyed the food. I can definitely declare that it was the most tasteful indian dish that I had so far! Congratulations Bollywood

Lovely, light airing surroundings

Visiting Manchester for a long weekend managed to get squeezed in with no booking, very good cooking. Creamy pea starter exquisite, other dishes to high standard. Wine list interesting we had a good vouvray. Service was excellent. Highly recommended

Very impressed with 1847, ate there tonight and had their £15 taster menu. excellent quality. The staff were very friendly too. I am not a vegetarian and this was the best meal I have had for a while.

Business 3 course lunch is great value with a good variety of dishes to choose from, ambience is good,staff are friendly and the service is great, i will be going back again.

I had a brilliant evening for all. from the moment we entered we where made very welcome the staff where very attentive. a huge selection on the menu... food was divine... we will all diffenatly be coming back.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!! Fantastic service and atmosphere. Fantastic food and wine. First visit to this restaurant on Saturday 26th May 2012. We have been to other Greek restaurants in Manchester on numerous occasions and this is by far the best. We ate here to celebrate our anniversary. Very nice decor. Service was excellent. Interesting menu and the food was delicious. They also posted my anniversary card to me which I'd accidentally left after drinking a little too much wine (it was too nice not to)!

Daughter visited restaurant on her birthday using one of the Happli vouchers which she purchased. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the voucher code. Owner made little or no attempt to try and resolve the situation which resulted in my daughter and her boyfried being made to feel like second class citizens, humiliated and embarrassed in front of other diners. The way the staff handled the situation was deplorable. Just because my daughter and her boyfriend are only 19 years old this is no way to treat people. Other kids of that generation would probably have taken matters into their own hands. A warning to others - seems they are not interested in customer service, only your money. Anway, my daughter felt so upset they just walked out without ordering.
