visited Manchester for the second time this weekend and after being impressed by Croma the first time we decided to go again. Once again we loved it, loved you don't have to book and although we were told a half hour wait we only waited 10 mins, the bar is nice too! The pizzas are amazing, i tried the full English breakfast one which was delicious! Great service, good atmosphere, highly recommend!!!

Had an absolutely cracking meal with my wife recently, The food was outstanding and amazing value. We ate off the set menu which is outstanding value and better than the ala carte menus in any other restaurant I've eaten at in town. the wine waiter was also fantastic matching the wines to perfectly compliment the wonderful food. All in all a wonderful night, we shall return.

I ate at room with friends on Thursday night. I have to say it was truly a memorable experience. The attentiveness and knowledge of the staff was fantastic. The food was second to none. Try the Beef Bourguignonne, meltingly tender packed with the rich flavours you'd expect. My pals went for the risotto and the sirloin steak. They were blown away also. While we were waiting they even brought us a taster of roasted carrott soup. Believe me i make good soups but this was off the radar. Great job Room. I'll definitely be going back.

Having just had a lunch time meal at the Pacific (9 June) I can only describe it as very poor. There was little choice and the food was not replenished as it ran out. The staff attitude was take it or leave it. I shall certainly not be visiting this establishment again

we went to eastzeast on a saturday night and am pleased to say that we had booked and therefore were not having to queue up for a table. Although the food was excellent we felt like we were on a conveyor belt and were rushed to order both food and drinks. The service was average to say the least especially at the end of the meal when we were asked if we could leave the table as they had a big queue. i think i would prefer to stick to the more traditional Indian restaurant in the future.

I went there recently with my family. Within 3 hours we were all suffering symptoms of food poisoning. We were all violently sick and had crippling diarrhea. Standards are disgusting, look for yourself, look at the carpets. No Chinese people go there anymore. We all know how bad the food is!

My god what a fantastic place to dine! This is one of the best restaurants that I've ever been to!!! Me & my partner went on Friday night, turned up fashionably late (wasn't my fault-The Mrs!) but they still catered for us with no hassle, even though it was packed! no waiting. The service was fantastic, the chefs are unbelievable with their knife skills & entertainment for the guests... I would recommend this restaurant to anybody as they can cater for anybody, don't be thinking its all about fish/sushi, there's plenty of choice for anyone, any age. FANTASTIC!

What can I say.....sensational! We ate there last night (saturday)This place got recommended to us by an Indian mate of mine. The food was delicious, the surroundings very trendy and the service was excellent. All in all a great night and very well priced. The Best Indian restaurant in Manchester if not the North-West.

Took my girlfriend there for her birthday on the recommendations given by this website, and was completely impressed from start to finish. From the friendly and helpful staff, to the excellent food. I couldn't fault any part of it. Starters (sea food platter) was superb, steak was amazing and chocolate truffle cake was the best I've ever had. I'd give this place 10/10 and definitely go back.

Went to Wings as we were going to the Ricky Hatton fight at the City of Manchester stadium. Restaurant was pretty full to say it was 5pm. Food was outstanding. I loved all the little touches like putting the dim sum on your plate for you. They even made our duck pancakes at the side of our table for us. Food was amazing and service was even better. Will definitely be going back. The best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Went to San Carlo mid week for my hubby's birthday. When we arrived the place was half full and already had a great atmosphere. By the time we left it was full to capcity. A really good sign mid week. Loved the food and enjoyed a large platter of shellfish to share. The only downside was our table. We were sat next to the waiter's station and were constantly interrupted by waiters leaning over us picking up peper mills and parmesan cheese etc. This did get quite annoying until the place got so busy that nothing was ever returned back to the station! Therefore I would make a point of not being seated near this area again, but apart from that a great place!

Sorry to disagree with popular opinion. Having read its rave reviews we pitched up at the New Emperor on Sunday last and the whole experience was pretty depressing. One starter forgotten. Crispy duck was dry and had poor texture, king prawns in satay sauce had no flavour or seasoning, the brown gloopy sauce barely distinguishable from the fillet of slimy beef in ginger and black beans. Bland, bland, bland! Ordered a decent premier cru Chablis that was served too warm from cheap, horrible glasses. The request for an ice bucket for the sparkling mineral water that came at room temperature resulted in a wine cooler full of ice with the bottle sat on top. Clueless. Then the bill has 10% added automatically and the staff push you to add a tip when they bring over the credit card machine. It wasn't overly busy, but FOUR other tables complained about slow service or dishes that had been ordered but forgotten. The decor is tired. Don't often eat Chinese in town and if this really is one of the best, I'll stick to that policy.

wow This is one of Manchester's best restaurants. Really authentic and top quality thai food. Soooooooo reasonably priced 10 out of ten. It's hidden away on an upper floor in Manchester's china town. It's a real gem why isn't there more hype about it.

I have been going to Happy Seasons for longer than I care to remember. Moved away and forgot about it. Then five years ago went back for meal with my now partner who is Chinese. So maybe it can be romantic!!! Anyway I always thought it was good and he thinks it is the best value in China Town. Try taking somebody who can read Chinese, the Chinese menu has some great dishes not on the English menu.

recommend this place you must be mad. It's chav and vile. Would'nt be caught dead in there a second time. A girl could get a bad name being seen in there. I'm just insulted the door staff let me in they clearly mistook me for an coke fan that would welcome the advances sleezey men for whom a song comes mind. The great prentender. The food was ok. A lot of a certain type of person in here and it's not footballers and celebs.

I have visited Sweet Mandarin many times and the food is delicious and the service friendly and efficient. I brought some friends from London to the restaurant and had a brilliant time. I've just bought their book too and can't wait to read it. If you've not tried Sweet Mandarin you must! Also northern quarter is a great spot now - buzzing and cool.

Absolutely superb food, the entire meal was delicious but the amuse bouche of a mini bakewell tart was to die for. I can't stop thinking about it neither can my dining partner. The atmosphere was fabulous, the staff were equally fabulous. The view of Exchange Square made it all the more spectacular. I will definitely dine here again and recommend it to my friends.
