Topkapi Palace – Manchester City CentreA cosy table for two in relaxed surroundings yet we never felt neglected. Food was glorious especially the seafood soup with coconut cream. I never thought I would enthuse about soup but it was ACE. I will be back!!!
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreHad fantastic meal on overnight stopover tfrom Northern Ireland to Egypt via Manchester airport. So much better service and value than airprt hotels! Why don't you advertise that the city is 15 minutes from the airport.Anyway Pacific was so good thatt we are returning this weekend to stay in the centre in Malmaison Hotel, go to the races and re-visit Pacific.
Pacific – Manchester City CentreThe steaks are the delight of every tongue. Four of us went and none of us was disappointed. Rating out of 10. Gaucho – Manchester City CentreAmazing value for money for unlimited quantities of OK Chinese food. Felt over-crowded with tables very close together. Wasn't as clean as it should be, Especially the toilets.
Peking Court, The – Manchester City CentreGrinch was my long time favourite. It's still good but it? been better. My favourite dishes have been so far: Duck salad; unfortunately wasn't that good prepared last time Mussels: haven't seen them for a while on the menu, which is a shame as I considered them as the best I have tasted so far.
Mud Crab at Grinch – Manchester City Centrenice Dim Sum dishes, Spacious premises, friendly service. No chiecken feet on the menue!
The Rice Bowl – Manchester City CentreWe were recommended this restaurant by a friend who, unfortunately, didn't give us directions!!!. It takes a bit finding, nestled behind the Direct Line building on a back street but well worth searching out. Excellent tapas, notably the chorizo, albondigas & patatas bravas, washed down with a draught Cruzcampo, made the whole thing more Spanish than some cafe bars in Spain! To be honest it took all my self control to prevent me saying "gracias" at every opportunity & asking for La Cuenta. It was all finished off with an excellent, strong cafe solo. We will be returning
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreFood excellent but waiter cleared partners plate before I had finished and plates were tepid.
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreAuthentic Turkish food. I eat here once a week for pure pleasure. Wish I had a mistress to take with me !
Cafe Istanbul – Manchester City CentreExcellent. Went there for my birthday with 20 friends, the food was superb, service excellent and very inexpensive.
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreHelpful staff, great range of choice on the menu, good ambience - a great little italian restaurant. One of our favourites.
Giorgios – Manchester City Centrethis restaurant is great i went with my girlfreind the other week an we got abslutley stuffed on the finest thai food i have eaten all for a outstanding price talk about value for money its like buyin armani for the price of tescos
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWe couldn't face cooking Christmas dinner for ten so someone suggested the Ox. It was a fantastic idea. The food was delicious and great value. It took all the stress out of Christmas day and we didn't miss the washing up or the turkey sandwiches one little bit.
The Oxnoble – Manchester City CentreEXCELLANT AND REASONABLE
Velvet – Manchester City CentreI visited this Restaurant for the first time two weeks ago and was very impressed. The food was fantastic, the staff friendly and eager to please, with a really good atmosphere. We had booked a table for 7.00 pm and by even then it was very busy. By 8.00 pm it was almost full. Prices are a bit steep but worth every penny and we will definitely go back when we return to Manchester later in the year. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone - its first class. Book early though to avoid disappointment.
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreBeen several times, and it's definitely got better lately. No doubt because Rob Brown is overseeing the cooking(exec chef at Lounge Ten when it was fanatastic, untill he left). Good wine list with plenty available by the glass (other restaurants take note). Basically the best place in town for traditional British grub and a good drink.
Sam’s Chop House – Manchester City CentreSteak eaters heaven. If they still do it try the carpaccio of Tuna starter with balsamic and lemon juice, very good. Wine list good. Staff are friendly, all in all recomended. Do agree that it is a bit souless midweek though due to it's size, go when it's busy.
