Lovely food, when we had it, but they never pick up the phone now so what is the point?

Lotus Restaurant – NorthendenHave been to Pearl many times over last few years,by far best curry in Tameside in my opinion, have dined out at most curry houses in Ashton,Stalybridge,Denton,Mossley and have never got bored of dining at the Pearl as you can sometimes with others. Service has always been excellent, have been mid week and weekends,ok,maybe waited longer for meal at weekend but this to be expected.Food always great
Pearl Restaurant Bar and Lounge – AudenshawAfter a day spent at Alton Towers, celebrating my 3 year old daughters birthday, we thought we'd stop by our local Italian restaurant, La Roma, for a quick bite to eat. We've eaten frequently at La Roma, celebrating several birthdays and christenings and we've never had a bad meal. There were several free tables so I did not expect a problem so early, even if it was a Saturday night. (18:20) I was very surprised, being informed, (after being looked up and down by a somewhat snotty and arrogant waiter!) that there are no tables available till 9pm Needless to say we won't be back. My wife felt quite insulted, particularly as she used to go even more often than I do. I've never eaten at a restaurant where the food is that good, the service can afford to be impolite. 5 minutes down the road in radcliffe town centre, there is a little place called Italia Mia. The food is every bit as good (Pizzas and Tiramisu in fact are supreior) and the staff are more attentive friendly and without pretense. I know where we'll be going from now on.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonWe ate here last night and the portion size was tiny. There was a lot of fat on the lamb and the chicken was about 4 mouth fulls. I had to order more food and had the cheese platter with chutney. I was given cranberry sauce instead of chutney and they pretended this was right! After complaining to the manager he knocked £2.95 off a £100 bill. We said this was not acceptable, his attitude was basically, tough, I don't care if you don't come back. Awful service and food.
Cromptons @ The Waterside – EcclesTo eat at Armenique is a real treat, lovely warm service from Edward and his staff with delicious food. The bread is to be highly recommended as are his beautiful cakes.
Armenique – CheadleThere was onion skin in my food. So desperately disappointed. They were understaffed and lots of people were getting their meals late. When I raised the issue over the meal the waitress said "well you have children so you are actually costing us money" Charming.
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburySorry, I don't see all the compliments for this place. Food was okay, not terrible by any means, but certainly not worth the prices - the quality is no better than an average gastropub. None of my friends who live in Didsbury would ever go there, so I'm wondering whether all the positive reviews have been written by staff during their breaks - a surefire way to bring people into your restaurant without doing the work!
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyMy friend Ket and I always go in the Red Lounge every week, the food is excellent... Staffs are very friendly... I know them Zaf,Foysul,Emdaad...........they are soooooooooo helpful... Its a good example for an ideal restaurant
Red Lounge – AudenshawVisited early sat had to wait 10 mins for a coffee, burger came so called blackpepper mayo! And it was just mayo with a twist of black pepper! Burger cold lettuce brown Bacon fatty , waitress lovely , shame would never return, god help us if this is the face of future food !
Frankie & Bennys – HorwichAmazing food, cooked in front of you, reasonably priced and now has a nice restaurant area. Best food in Rusholme I think, and I've sampled a lot of the Rusholme restaurants in my time! Staff are friendly and good-natured without being intrusive - a major bonus. Thoroughly recommend it.
Kebabish Original – RusholmeIt was very lively when I went there with a friend on a Thursday evening. The food was average. It doesn't seem as authentic as other Thia restaurant, in fact it felt like an American 'restaurant' (I use that term loosely) filled with Elvis pictures. It was an enjoyable evening. Although it's not a place to go if you want to actually have a conversation with someone as it was VERY LOUD and it got so loud we had to leave to go somewhere else to carry on with our conversation. It's more of a club with seating areas and middle of the road noddles and rice.
Crazy Wendys – Didsburyi would never recommend this place as its food is terrible and the service is crap please please please don't spoil your night by walking in there
Ashoka – Manchester City CentreWent to EastZeast in Manchester centre. Tasty food and lovely service.
East z East – Manchester City CentreI've been out to eat a few times at Dhanak Deira and I have to say the food is amazing, I am not particularly a fan of Chinese however Dhanak Deira's Chinese dishes were delicious. The venue has a beautiful traditional theme, and the service was really good as they made sure we were looked after. The overall experience was wonderful.
Dhanak Deira – BoltonWe regularly go to la Roma as a one stop shop. Easy going- fab staff- great food- service is amazing and the best puddings!!!!! Plus real authentic Italian staff can't beat that.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonOk, granted this is a tapas restaurant that offer a fairly reasonable menu, however the quality and variety of the dishes left a lot to be desired last Saturday afternoon. The same sauce seemed to run through most of the chicken dishes, most of the dishes were bland and unimaginative though the whitefish and calimari were not bad. We could taste the cooking fat in the potato dishes and well, do not get me started on the cleanliness. Our table was so sticky that my partners book actually stuck to it when put down, as did our napkins, glasses and bowls. Definitely a place we will not be in a hurry to return to.
La Salsa – HorwichI used to eat in here every week!! What a brilliant chippie this is, I highly recommend getting yourself down here to try their lovely fish. I don't live in Manchester any more so I do miss my weekly fix! Thanks for all the good food guys keep up the great work
The Battered Cod – Didsburylove this restaurant great food great atmosphere what more could you want try it
