We had a fantastic night out as a group of 12 people celebrating a colleague. We were allowed to decorate the table, the service was very attentive, friendly and quick, and we all loved the food! Thank you very much!

We've visited Kafeneon six or seven times now and we've never been disappointed or had any issues at all. Yesterday we arrived ahead of our booking, 6pm, but we were still able to get our table. The whole restaurant is Greek themed, very clean and you really do feel like you could be sat in a greek restaurant abroad. The food is of an exceptional standard, always large portions and plenty of variety. Prices are very reasonable and you normally have two hours at your table, and are never rushed to leave. The staff are friendly and attentive - nothing is ever too much trouble. We love visiting and will continue to eat here - it's the best Greek restaurant in Newcastle and is our "go to".

Love this little corner of Greece in Newcastle. We were a group of 20 but the service was excellent all served together by friendly staff. The food was great. Everyone really enjoyed our afternoon and can't wait for a return visit

Food was lovely at good prices. Service was rushed and a bit impersonal 1.5 hr reservation time just isn't appropriate for tapas and should be reconsidered so staff can afford better customer service.

Love coming here. It’s a regular choice for lunch with work colleagues or early tea. Generous portions delicious flavours and friendly staff. Great value for money too. Can’t really fault it

Our first visit to this restaurant and won’t be the last. Very pleasant staff, authentic surroundings, service perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the food although the main was slightly too large a serving for us, but that’s a personal preference. We had lamb kleftiko which we have had many times in Kos and Corfu and the lamb here was just so tender. Our preference though would be for this to be cooked more like a casserole and wrapped in grease proof paper as it is in Greece. Again though this is just a personal choice, the meal here was excellent both in quantity and quality.

Fantastic place for anyone who likes Greek food, service was extremely good and the food was brilliant, me and my partner just came back from Kefalonia and the restaurant reminded us of our holiday massive thumbs up from us we loved it

Been coming to Kafeneon for quite a few years now, we try to visit at least once a month. It is by far the best Greek restaurant around, delicious food and great service every time. It has a great ambiance, just like you’re sitting in a typical Greek Taverna. Transports us back to our holidays in Greece, even more so when the weather is sunny and you can also sit in the outdoor area.

Arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and we're able to be sat outside as someone had just left. The staff were really attentive, polite and friendly. The food as always was delicious and the drinks were top notch. Love the outdoor seating area, plenty of shade and not sat on top of each other.

Our meal yesterday was absolutely fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Celebrated my retirement in the fabulous town house , a party of 20 was no problem for the wonderful staff. I had an amazing time. Kafeneon is the best restaurant in Newcastle by far. Staff and food are first class.
