Excellent food and service. Highly recommended

Post theatre meal. Had the new meze menu. The food was fabulous and good value. Staff attentive but not overbearing. Standout was the dips and pitta bread and the moussaka.

I hadn't been to Kafeneon for awhile due to ill health and it was really nice to visit my favourite restaurant before the match last night. I've missed it! What can I say......great authentic Greek food served by friendly professional staff. Best restaurant in Newcastle in my opinion

Staff are all lovely. The Moussak is the best ever and the Beef Stiffardo is exceptional. Wonderful place .

Food good, nice place for a catch up with friends. Tables rather too small when you have a few plates of tapas. Nice selection of tapas. Service a bit abrupt , but we enjoyed our evening and would return .

Attended with family, sat upstairs which was lovely. Felt more quiet and relaxed than the hustle and bustle of downstairs. Lovely Greek decor inside! Waiters were attentive, polite and pleasant. Ordered 2 chicken gyros and 2 lamb koftas, all were good size portions, freshly made and delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and fabulous food

The most perfect place to go for either lunch or dinner, food is always amazing, staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and cocktails are always spot on! Highly recommend.

My fourth evening visit to this lovely restaurant and always the service and food are great. This time we dined on the first floor for the first time and while it was nice to have a window seat the room was very noisy. With room for less diners on the ground floor our preference in future will be to dine on the ground floor.

Such a warm and friendly place, very welcoming. Menu well balanced and includes most Greek favourites. My souvlaki chicken was very generous, if a little dry, and the accompaniements,I chose rice over chips, were super fresh and tasty. My husbands Stifado was delicious, very authentic with that subtle hint of cinnamon that is often missing. I’ll return for that dish next time! House white wine fresh and smooth. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Thankyou.

Amazing food in an authentic, cosy restaurant. I booked following a recommendation from a friend and what a recommendation it was. Perfect ambience, food and very friendly staff. The menu is good and the quality first class. Highly recommended.
