Excellent restaurant. Friendly service, and superb food. Best restaurant in Norwich with very authentic Portugese food.

We dined early last night and had another really lovely meal. We included one Vegetarian, one with a gluten intolerance and Vegan, and 2 omnivores. We all had a lovely evening and every course was delicious. Again, our 5th visit. Having just returned from Portugal on holiday, we certainly were not disppointed and Jorge's will again be top of our list for a future meal in town.

Wow! I will start from the beginning. We arrived a little early for our reservation and our table wasn't ready. The lovely lady with brown hair took care of us and seated us in a little area and made sure that we were taken care of. This initially made me personally feel quite special and I loved this lady. Just wish I remember her name! We didn't wait very long for our table anyhow. The service and food was outstanding!! The two ladies were extremely attentive, lovely and just made the whole experience phenomenal. We also met Jorge. This guy is a trooper! He works so hard alongside his coworkers. The whole evening they all made us feel amazing and a gorgeous family vibe. Thank you all so much for making us feel truly welcome and loved. We can't wait to come back. This place has won my heart and have never experienced anything so amazing with a restaurant. I can't wait to come back again and again and again!

Everything about Jorges is 10/10. The staff are all so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is always lovely, busy and buzzy. The food is just incredible, everything cooked to perfection with such care from the team. Thank you!!

Beautiful food with excellent service in z lovely environment

What a brilliant place! A cosy, intimate restaurant. The menu is exciting and food is delicious, super fresh and packed with flavour. Not a criticism, but just because I’m greedy, I wish there was an option for larger steaks! Service was class. Very attentive, couldn’t ask for more. Thank you for a wonderful experience, can’t wait to come back.

This was my first visit to Jorge's, I had heard many good things about it and am very happy I ventured there. The restaurant is well located, has a lovely rustic feel and the service is excellent. We went for various tapas dishes on the early evening menu and were thoroughly impressed, the food is exquisite. I highly recommend this venue and look forward to my next visit.

What a super local restaurant. Friendly, helpful service and fantastic cooking. We've been twice since moving to Norwich two months ago and will be making regular visits. Highly recommended.

We just enjoyed a wonderful evening at Jorges! Beautiful high quality food and wine - honestly one of the best steaks we have ever had! We went with the waitress’s recommendation and didn’t regret it. Staff were attentive and so friendly and helpful. Thank you for such a lovely evening! We will definitely be back.

Visited Jorge' restaurant with a friend, the service was amazing and the food absolutely delicious. We both ended the meal with a delicious desert of people de lo, with cheese ice cream and fits de ovos. Will defenitely return soon. Thank you!

Was an awesome experience. Particularly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere gave the intimacy we wanted. Service was great as well. Would definitely visit again.

As with any restaurant the food was very good. My ribs were tasty if a little dry, the squid and prawns were lovely. The Padrone peppers were juicy and the breads and cheeses lovely. But this is meant to be a tapas bar, the place looks like a swish restaurant and has no real atmosphere. On the night we ate we added an extra client ( 4 to 5 people ) but they refused to give us another table, just squeezed us all onto two small tables. The point of tapas is to share and have fun, there was little room for all the glasses and plates, let alone the food, the servers had real difficulty getting it all on to the table. Our first server ( one of many) mumbled, none of us could understood what she was talking about half the time so we sat and hoped for the best. First we were told there were no cocktails ! 6pm on a Friday night and no cocktails ? No reason given, but this is silly. Ok so we had a few standard drinks and got a bottle of wine. The food came as ordered, pretty good. Then we get to dessert, our next server tells us the trio is not available just the custard tart, ok we will have the custard tart. I ordered a coffee only to be told they don’t do coffee, the hot drinks are apparently from a concession stand in the corner which does not open in the evenings. Are you telling me that you can’t afford a Nespresso ? ( not the best coffee but better than nothing ). Two of our party had ordered another glass of wine, it never turned up and as the “desserts” had arrived we said forget them ! To be honest there are problems here, the atmosphere and vibe is not tapas bar, it needs more fun, more light etc, but even that doesn’t come close to what seems like poor management. The staff need training better ( we had one server who was Portuguese and she was brilliant, the rest were not good ), and the whole thing needs looking at to give the place more atmosphere. Food : good. Experience : leaves a lot to be desired. Not tempted to return after hearing so many good things. Perhaps the restaurant does better ?

Went for lunch, food was amazing, fresh and served by very friendly people. A must place to eat in Norwich.

We had lunch on Saturday 14th October 2023, before going to the theatre. It was a really lovely experience. I had a glass of Portuguese white wine (excellent) and my husband had a beer, we shared some great tapas, particularly liked the pork. Mushrooms were tasty as well. Service was friendly and helpful.
