First time we have stopped for food at the pub and are so glad we did. The staff are great and the food was fantastic, probably one of the best Sunday roasts we have eaten in a pub. Thank you.

A good atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. I have visited several times over the last 3 years and the standard has always been good.

We chose the festive menu. This was an excellent choice. The food was great and the service attentive without being intrusive. You really need to try chocolate truffle delicious and a feast for the eyes.

Our group of eight friends thoroughly enjoyed the festive fayre menu. All the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and attentive and there was a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We are already thinking about returning next year for our Christmas lunch.

Really lovely lunch. The food was extremely good and the service top notch even thought the restaurant was very busy.

Yesterday 17th December my birthday dinner,as always the food was superb,whether a Sunday Roast ,or other occasions never had a reason for complaint in 5 years, staff are great,Excellant service and clearly great Chef 10/10

A group of 14 ladies celebrated Christmas on Monday 15th December. Every single one of us praised the food and service. It really was a great night. One of our group said it was the best pub food she had ever had. The only negative comments were that we were not offered tea or coffee post dining and there was a very loud, obnoxious woman sitting next to our table whose language equalled a longshoreman's. Not the Hopping Hare's fault, but they must have been aware of it. But, all things considered it was a great night, thanks to everyone. We look forward to our Boxing Day lunch

Myself and five friends came and dined at your restaurant for the first time on Tuesday 16th Dec for our annual Xmas Party and I have to say it was the best we have experienced for a very long time . Fabulous atmosphere and the food was excellent . We had a delightful waiter and my apologies to him as can’t remember his name but he was very tall and had moved here from Sheffield . I hope you know the gentleman I am talking about as he was very attentive and looked after us very well . We shall certainly be back . Every Good wish for Christmas and 26 Regards , Corinne Roe .

A lovely welcome from the staff, they couldn’t do enough for us. We had the festive set menu and the food was delicious. My wife and I had a great evening. Thank you!

Friday night before Christmas table for 2 , packed restaurant and it was like we were the only 2 people in there in terms of service The food was amazing as always , been going here for best part of 10 years and the Christmas menu was some of the best food I have every had there , mushroom tart was exceptional and the lamp rump with the golden beetroot was fantastic. We will be back again because the food just keeps getting better and better

A beautiful meal, dispite the full restaurant, both staff and food excellent . Will definitely return.

1st time visited for a meal with friends - all 4 of us were extremely happy with the food for each course, the atmosphere and service - we will definitely recommend it and return.

We were a party for 13 people, the service was amazing and the food was outstanding. Will definitely be visiting here again.

It has been many years since eating at the now named Hopping Hare (Hopping Hill previously) but the meal was fine except the Brussels they had just been blanched you could have used them as snooker balls they were so hard, we did complain and were asked if we would like something else, but we declined as we had a full plate full. The waiter was very good and attentive. The one big gripe was that there is only one handicap parking place and we had to park on the road. Otherwise and enjoyable meal in a convivial atmosphere.

Excellent food beautifully arranged and served very well. We visited on Saturday, the Yule log was outstanding.

We visited yesterday to try the Festive Menu!The food and drinks menu were varied with some great choices.Lovely cocktails too.I had two courses mainly because I just could not fit in desert Salmon and the Chicken terrine starter chosen by husband were absolutely delicious, beautifully presented as was the Christmas dinner we both had Absolutely perfect service really enjoyed our time, there a great start to our Christmas.
