Our second visit to the Hopping Hare and wont be our last. Met family from all over the country here for a get together, and was not disappointed by the dinners or the Hopping Hare itself. A lovely place. Food is delicious, a well put together menu and great service. See you again soon.

My family and I had Sunday lunch at the Hopping Hare and we all found it to be excellent, no matter what the choice from the extensive menu. The service was prompt and courteous and we felt the whole experience was very good value for money.

Booked to celebrate my 60th with my immediate family. I knew nothing about the restaurant as I no longer live in Northampton. Was very impressed with the menu and very slick food presentation of the dishes . The Sunday roasts were incredible: plenty of roast potatoes ; enormous Yorkshire puds; and 5 different veg ! ( red cabbage/ cauliflower cheese; carrots; broccoli & kale) . Desserts were also beautifully presented and the cheese plate was bountiful & didn't stint on portions ! Wine list was good and reasonably priced . And service was efficient and very friendly . Fantastic birthday meal !

The food was excellent, in every aspect. The choices on the menu cover most people’s tastes with little touches, within each dish that make it a more special unique taste that lifts the meals above the run of the mill pub restaurant dining experience. The ingredients are locally sourced which is a good thing. The chef’s skills are great and all food was cooked superbly and presented well.

Wonderful food with excellent table service. Our waitress was right on the ball the whole time we were there. I really cannot find anything to find fault with. The menu has something for everyone and all done in an amazing tru country pub on the canal side. We will be returning here again and again and cannot recommend it enough. I have given 5 out of 5 on everything including value for money. Im my opinion, the prices were about right and what most people would expect to pay. In return, because of the high quality of the food we experienced 5 out of 5 is the minimum you could award.

We are regular customers as we have a boat moored in Braunston. Always good food and service from the staff at a reasonable cost.

Both welcoming and accommodating. Always the feeling of a personal touch. Staff are friendly, service is also good, standards are high and the food is fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible and of a high quality.

Booked for 6 adults as a celebration meal and was not disappointed. Like our previous couple of visits, never with 6 of us, the service, attentiveness and friendliness of the staff was brilliant. The food only supported the lovely atmosphere and well cooked delicious meals we all enjoyed. One could argue the only downside was that the evening came to an end far too quickly - brilliant night, great food, excellent staff, good. Skye for money and a friendly welcoming atmosphere - what is not too like?

Booked table for 4 adults. Food and service excellent. Staff friendly and attentative. Pub fully booked for meals and not much standing room left. Great atmosphere. Will be back

It’s been some years since I visited the Hopping Hare. I pleased to see the food and surroundings had lost none of its charm. The food was delicious and cooked to a high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit yesterday and hope to do so again.
