Food was good and the service was excellent.

We've been going to the Plough for over 30 years, and it's always a real treat. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food is always first class, and we always come away absolutely stuffed. Best of all, it's only 10 minutes drive away for us. Our visit yesterday was to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

We both had the fish pie washed down with a delicious Pinot…. staff friendly and attentive..

We can to chippy Tuesday to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a birthday. Was not sure what size the meal would be. We were amazed at the size of the fish and the quality of the meal priced at £10 each. We will be back but will remember not to eat that day as we were stuffed.

Fabulous meal. We had the fruity curry and it was lovely. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the place was so cosy. It was our first visit and we will definitely be back again.

Easy to book friendly staff good food and great place for a catch up with friends

Delicious food, friendly service & a nice relaxed eating area. Cajun chicken penne pasta was the best + a tasty sticky toffee pudding with decent portions.

Easy to book, arrived early and was seated straight away. Quick, friendly service. Great food as always, large portions, everything hot and fresh.

Another excellent meal (gammon steaks) for our special occasion. A pleasure to eat where there is genuine traditional atmospere and service.

Lovely Chippy Tuesday meals at The Plough at an excellent price, spoilt by slow service. After finishing our meals and having our plates cleared, despite being seated near the bar and having the two staff passing regularly, we weren’t offered a dessert menu or asked if we wanted more drinks. After about 20 minutes wait, we went to the bar, paid and left. The only explanation given was that they were trying to sort the fire alarm which kept going off. They managed to serve the other tables beyond us with food and drinks. It wasn’t all that busy.

Went along for "Chippy Tuesday", fish, chips and peas for £10! Hard to resist at that price but did that mean small portions or poor quality? Oh my goodness, couldn't be more wrong. HUGE fish and plenty of chips and it was all really delicious!!! The fish was perfectly battered and everything was piping hot! Worth every penny. Unfortunately the drinks were a bit pricey, nearly £7 for a pint of lager!!!! Almost as much as the food!!! Took the shine off it a little bit.

We went for a Sunday Roast Sharer, it did not disappoint. Lovely food and lovely staff. Will definitely be making this my fave place for a roast
