Booked a table here on a Saturday during the music festival. It was busy but we managed to eat inside as the weather was bad. We bought our friends who were staying fir the weekend and they loved it. Service was good (I ordered at the bar as it was busy) the food was delicious and there were clean plates all round. We were so relaxed that we didn’t end up seeing much of the music so it was just a charity donation in the end.. they did so well on a busy night would definitely return.

Was taken here for the first time for a birthday lunch pre booked . Very warm welcome , as we were early had a choice of where sit, drinks order taken very quickly , food choice was superb and small adjustment was made to one dish to cater for an elderly member of the group . Food arrived hot and didn’t disappoint. Portion size was bang on although as a small eater felt awful leaving such nice food . 2 of the group had desserts and they said how nice they were. Was wished a happy birthday by two members of staff and upon leaving . Would highly recommend and will be returning

Great old worldly pub with a really friendly atmosphere. The food was really amazing. Great service and happy and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Four of us had lunch at the Half Moon Inn on a Thursday afternoon in May and we have to say what a very pleasant experience it was. The food was excellent; we all chose something different, so satisfying us all was always going to be a challenge but you managed it. The bar service was good fun, with the landlord who has a great sense of humour. It wasn’t at all busy so we don’t know what it would have been like if it had been, but we can only speak as we find. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good value tasty meal in nice surroundings. The only downside was it’s proximity to the main road, which occasionally was intrusive as we sat in the garden the whole time. Many thanks. Chris

Great service, food and attention, despite a wake and a Probus lunch.

Lovely Sunday lunch. However vegan Sunday roast option not available but I was able to have some risotto added to mine. Very good service although it was very busy. 2.30pm lunch booking.

Warmly welcomed, served drinks quickly and shown table on arrival. Excellent choice of food, light bites and good selection of pub favourites. Food order was taken and food served up pipping hot and in very good time. Will definitely return

Lovely meal in a lovely place. Service was fantastic and nice to eat somewhere where you are not rushed. We ordered the fish and chips and the steak. Both were delicious, the steak was probably the best I've ever eaten. The staff are fantastic and so friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful food, the gammon was cooked beautifully, as was the risotto and the half moon cocktail is a must try. Everything was fresh and piping hot! The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. The staff were super friendly, helpful and nothing was to much trouble!! I highly recommend trying this place if you want a nice meal out! Very reasonable prices for the quality and portion size of the food! Myself and my partner will definitely be back. Thank you

Booked for 3 as partners birthday and I had won a voucher for 2 Sunday 2 courses. It was very busy in the restaurant and bar area although it was 2.30pm. We had to wait for some time to get our drinks after ordering. The vegan dessert we ordered wasn't available but we were offered an alternative which was ok. The food was very nice we had the vegan option roast dinner and vegan cheesecake. The fruit juices were a lot more expensive than the half pint of cider we had.

Had a starter as a light lunch which was excellent and different. (Duck and pork terrine with sour dough toast ) only one piece of toast and really needed two pieces but the terrine was really good. Friendly , smiley staff. Good service.
