Very good restaurant.Great menu and excellent service. The food and the wine and drinks menus are all exceptional and one of the best restaurants I have been to.

This was our second visit to Y Sqwar and it was just as good as our first visit. The atmosphere is great with excellent food and a remarkable service. My wife and I would highly recommend this restaurant and it is for sure the best in the area.

First class as usual. You cannot beat the food and service here. Never fails , the Duck and the pork were top quality. Our favourite resturaunt in North Wales.

We had an excellent meal and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant deserves its reputation for food and refinement. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Lived in the area for a while and always had Y Sgwar on our list of restaurants but has always been full when tried to book a table. So pleased we finally managed to eat there. Fab food, great atmosphere and attentive staff. We highly recommend Y Sgwar.

Really excellent food

WOW!!! There isn’t a better word to describe the food in this amazing restaurant. The food is out of this world, and the staff are just so friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. So lucky to have this little bit if heaven right on our doorstep.

We were on holiday in the area and decided to treat ourselves. It was a very good choice. The meal, atmosphere and staff were excellent, thank you. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable.

Yet again a lovely dining experience From the minute you step in the staff are helpful and efficient The place was full but we didn’t feel crowded and service was spot on My halloumi starter was tasty, followed by the chicken supreme Pudding was not required but felt rude not to so had a white chocolate cheesecake The others had garlic mushrooms, scallops , steak , pork , chocolate brownie an ice cream Really nice evening

Absolutely beautiful food and a lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly. One of the best meals we had while staying in Nth Wales, we even went back the following evening

Although I've stayed in Porthmadog before this was my first visit to Y Sgwar. Wish I'd been before! We had the early bird menu - great service, great food and great price. My wife had the Sea Bass and I had the Welsh Lamb, we both had the apple tart which, unlike a lot of other restaurants had custard (and lots of it). We can recommend this restaurant and would love to come back again.
