I booked online last minute- kitchen was kept open for our party. Celebrating my Dad’s 80th birthday after a trip to Snowden. From the moment of arrival I was very impressed- great atmosphere and service from all staff. The food was absolutely outstanding. Perfectly presented and very tasty. I don’t hesitate in 100% recommendation. Was a very special memorable evening. Thankyou to the team on 13/7/23

I mean it’s simply the best restaurant in Wales I’ve been to by some margin. It isn’t just that the food is high quality and wonderfully prepared or that the service and atmosphere is just perfect. It’s that it is remarkably consistent. Last night my wife (chicken) and daughter (lamb) actually started laughing out loud as they started their mains - it was that good! Bittersweet - cancer treatment starts Monday. But as a night out before that starts it was a fabulous family evening - THANK YOU

I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough - definitely one of the best restaurants I have been in. The food was all sublime. I shared the deep fried goats cheese with mango jam starter with my husband, it was heavenly, should have had one to myself! The chicken supreme and the sauce with it was amazing and the lemon cheesecake delicious too. I highly recommend Y Sgwar, the service is excellent and when we return to North Wales, this will be top of our list and more than once next time! Don’t suppose you fancy opening another restaurant in Hampshire too?!

Spent a lovely evening here while on holiday . Excellent in every way. Service impeccable and friendly. Lovely choices on the menu for food and drinks. Great atmosphere and if we were local we would come back again and again.

This was our second visit to Y Sqwar and it was just as good as our first visit. The atmosphere is great with excellent food and a remarkable service. My wife and I would highly recommend this restaurant and it is for sure the best in the area.

First class as usual. You cannot beat the food and service here. Never fails , the Duck and the pork were top quality. Our favourite resturaunt in North Wales.

We had an excellent meal and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant deserves its reputation for food and refinement. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Lived in the area for a while and always had Y Sgwar on our list of restaurants but has always been full when tried to book a table. So pleased we finally managed to eat there. Fab food, great atmosphere and attentive staff. We highly recommend Y Sgwar.
