Very high quality food for a pub/restaurant clearly cooked by well trained chefs. I will be returning regularly!
Farmers Arms The – Preston
Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.

Farmers Arms The – PrestonThe setting is great with 'cosy' booths to dampen down surrounding noise. The food is exceptionally good, with good-sized portions and good quality ingredients - lots of tastes. Another bonus - reasonable parking just outside.
King Karai – PrestonFantastic food, great value, excellent service - Babu - you are a credit to Preston !
King Karai – PrestonI have dined here on many occasions at both lunch time and in the evening and thoroughly enjoy every aspect of it. The staff are obliging and helpful, the food always of good quality in a very pleasant dining area.
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonWhat a gem of an Italian restaurant, food was great and lovely staff who all appeared to be Italian, definitely worth a visit.
Angelos – Prestonafter hearing about the smiths we decided 2 give it a whirl,we were not disappointed at all everything was fantastic, n we will b going bk soon .
Smiths Arms – PrestonMe and my Fiance ate at Bangla Fusion at the weekend and i must say take the service was the best i have ever had, the waiters could not do enough for you, i am vegan and they accommodated all my needs beautifully, the fish dishes also are impeccable my fiance had the salmon which was cooked to perfection. the prices were good and the menu was of a good selection also. we will definitely be going again. sarah southport
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonWe visit the Green Man whenever we get the chance, the food and the staff are excellent. My wife is a chef and can be a little fussy when it comes to eating out, but cannot find fault with anything on the menu. The food is locally sourced and comes in sizeable portions which is a winning combination in my eyes.
Green Man – PrestonBeen here many, many times and always delighted. Last night we went to the tenner evening and it was so average. Desperate need of professionalism in menu and service. We would rather have paid more and not been disappointed. Soup on one of the tables went back three times before they abandoned it. May be we chose a bad night but sadly we are unlikely to return despite our previous satisfaction. The cheap price on a Tuesday is very short termism for repeat customsrs.
Haighton Manor Country House Hotel – PrestonI have been a couple of times to this indian restaurant & can defo recommend a visit to it. Although the prices are quite dear for what you get it is very very tasty. There are some lovely comfy sofas to sit on whilst you wait & browse through the menu & the staff are all really friendly.
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonThis is by far the best indian restaurant I have visited throughout the north west. I have been many times & just keep coming back. The food is absolutely divine, it can be a bit pricey but worth it & the staff are all very friendly & helpful. Defo recommend this place!
Sagar Premier – Prestonfood excellent i heard they had a good head chef so went to find out and wasn't disappointed the tall man behind the bar was very helpful and courteous
Smiths Arms – PrestonI was expecting big things from Thyme as the friends we were with have visited two or three times before and had always been very impressed. I have to say that I was very disappointed at both the level of service and the general quality of the evening. This was the first time I have ever been to a 'high quality' restaurant and been addressed by the waiter as 'guys'. I would also have expected an expensive bottle of red wine to be served in a red wine glass, not a tumbler borrowed from the pub downstairs. It is the little things that should be right that were not on our evening, including the cutlery that was so scratched it must have been used a thousand times before. We still hear good comments about Thyme and are going to visit again with the same friends in December, I only hope that we experience the Thyme that others return such glowing compliments about, not the one we visited back in June.
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonNice food but the attitude of the lady behind the bar, who I took to be the manager was dreadful. She needs to go on a customer relations course, we will not be going back!
Smiths Arms – Prestonalways excellent food and service. The decor is a bit dated and wouldn't go here for a romantic meal for 2 but for a curry on the way home after a few beers this is definitely the best curry house in Preston city centre
Spice Of Bengal – PrestonI visited this place on a Sunday evening, - Wasn't sure what to expect. When we got inside I was so impressed! The rural location, the design of the building the restaurant was situated, the architecture inside and out was beautiful! Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. Food was out of this world!!! Really competes with the big rollers situated in the city centre, very impressed! I live 40 mins away from this restaurant, but WILL be making a journey back ! Recommend to anyone wanting a quality dining experience that is child friendly too! It must be even better in the peak of summer with the glass extension at the front of the restaurant! Keep up the good work xx
Italian Orchard – PrestonDon't go to Bukhara expecting the usual Beer and curry night. They dont sell alcohol for a start. No big deal really when you consider the quality of food is fantastic. I'm a real foodie and have been several times and loved it every time. Originally recommended by an Indian friend, Bhukara tends to make more authentic Indian dishes. I guess the fact that the restaurant is usually largely populated by Indian families, points to the fact that they serve REAL Indian food. Trust me, try it and you'll never quite see the local Indian takeaway in the same light again. I would recommend their signature mango salad (spicy!) and try some Mango Lassi to boot. Mmmm, makes me want to have a curry just thinking about it.
Bukhara – PrestonBeen to lots of Italian restaurants and this is one of the best. We went on a Saturday night and had a table booked for 8.45pm and had to wait half an hour but it wasn't a problem as the bar area is lovely - really comfy sofas and a good atmosphere. Very busy but the service was excellent. I had octopus salad to start and pasta for main and both were excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back very soon. Beats Tiggis and Angelos by far. Menu was varied and lots of specials on offer. Price was average for an Italian, some people may say a bit on the expensive side but it was well worth it.
