Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.

Absolutely divine! From the moment we stepped into the bar area reminiscent of an avant-garde boudoir in the heart of rolling Lancashire countryside we were pleasantly surprised. Although it was a Friday lunchtime and extremely quiet, the quality of the food, the presentation and most importantly the bursts of flavour were sumptuous. Angels delivered both an aesthetic and gastronomic treat, and as lovers of seafood we'll be returning to enjoy the dinner menu as soon as we can. One starter of scallop, sitting on a portabello mushroom with pancetta and goats cheese complimented by a sweet red onion relish was delicious. This, to our delight was then surpassed by the main of seared seabass cooked to perfection with a crisp skin and soft melt in the mouth flesh in a tarragon based sauce we can only describe as orgasmic. Pity we had to rush the third course of steamed chocolate and ginger pudding to pick the kids up from school, although it did stop us actually licking our plates as we headed for the door!

Dorothy, Paul and staff have a unique rapport with anyone who visits The Green Man. They are so welcoming and friendly to everyone. Paul is one of the best cooks we have come across over many many years of dining out. The roast duck is to die for.My elderly Dad cant come with us anymore for his frequent Sunday treat so they always "plate" a meal for us to take back so he can still enjoy something of the Green Man. Well done all, with the food and friendliness that you give you will never go wrong.

I have been to Double Tree on a number of occasions, since it has opened. The food, by far is set to the best of standards, my children decided to book a table for fathers day, it went down a treat. Service is always fantastic, I do not have a bad word against them.

We booked for my birthday and it was simply divine. The quality of food outstanding and the presentation Michelin standard. The whole place is quite creative yet relaxing and felt very private. Staff warm and welcoming and the chef Simon and Lee where very accommodating. We where even treated to beautiful live piano music, wonderful. And with a seasonal menu can't wait to go back.

I was very disappointed with the restaurant after hearing only good reports, firstly the beer was warm, the wine was not chilled, i ordered meat samosa which came and was cold, the main meal ( tandoori mixed grill) looked and tasted like it had been preheated and microwaved, when it came to pay the bill we waited 20 minutes when it eventually came the bill was £65.00 the waiter put in the card machine £95.00 luckily i noticed in time, however i will not be rushing to re-visit

Yet again i find myself writing another review of the best Italian restaurant in Preston, Last night me and my girlfriend had Tino himself cooking for us, and as per usual with Tinos the food and service was fantastic, infact it was that good that we will be returning in about 30mins, i cant recommend this restaurant highly enough, go and see for yourself.

Had a fabulous meal at the New Pond in Cross Street, Preston. Picked around 5 dishes from the tapas menu (between the 2 of us) and everyone was top notch. My particular favourite was the Peruvian Stew. Seriously this is a must try dish!! Hot, spicy and fruity, it tickled all my tastebuds. There were some minor issues though. If they get these right it’ll turn Pond from a good restaurant to a fantastic restaurant. 1. Service was a bit slow, took about 15mins to get the bill at the end and struggled to get drinks while dining. 2. Card machine wasn’t working, so had to pay by cash (this should of been pointed out staff on arrival, rather than a flimsy bit of paper on toilet door) 3. Peruvian Stew said on menu served with bread, the bread never came. 4. No menu’s on website, all we could find was out of date menu’s on Sugarvine and OnionRing. 5. Alot of their literature said how Vegan/Veggie friendly they are, but Vegan friendly dishes were not marked on menu, so difficult to pick these out. 6. A beer/drinks menu on table would be good too, I heard they have lots of weird and wonderful drinks. But we didn’t know what there was to choose from. This review is not meant to be a criticism, as I will be back time and time again. But if they sort out these issues it could be perfect dining experience. 8/10

Stay away if you like authentic Indian food!! Absolutely nasty!!! Garlic chilli chicken was sweet, nagar chilli wasn't even spicy, shashlik king prawns would've been better from pataks!!! Stick to east z east or bukhara next time..... Excellent service pity about the quality of the food

Amazed by this place. I eat at many fantastic restaurants but this was the best Italian by far. Real authentic cooking. Nothing grand about the location but everything else was top notch. Service was very good too. Really surprised at the quality of this little venue!

The young girl who works there is such a pleasure to be around she takes her time to make sure you are happy and satisfied, unlike I have to say the rather large man who was forever barking at the girl unusually so as from what we observed she was the only one in the place who smiled or actually worked! Food was v.good. Execellent service by that young lady a sure asset to the business.

I had to send my main course back, the meat was inedible. The Manager dealt with the situation promptly, and the second attempt was fine. BUT, I am wheelchair bound and the toilets are upstairs. No disabled toilet. I had to use the loo in the Pub next door. The owners have spent an alleged £150,000 on refurbishment , but obviously did not see the need for a disabled loo. WE must be a minority.

Unfortunately not recommended One vegetable which I queried, the waiter came across as rude. The manager actually was very nice and managed the query well. The tables are crowded, which meant it was very noisy, the music system was more like a noise system, better not have it There was an overcharge in the bill, which the waiter then corrected, but still got the sum wrong - I had to actually use a calculator to show him he was wrong. Sorry too many reasons to go back in there again

Tried many Indian restaurants in the area and the Amonbagh consistently produces top quality dishes across their range. One of the few places I will go to for a takeaway.
