A fantastic time on 26/12. A special treat for my mum. She absolutely loved it. From arriving to find big car spaces to a fab day having an afternoon tea. Perfect. All the staff were brilliant, we could see why a lot of regular were coming in. Well worth worth the visit

Three of us had Sunday brunch. Lovely food and friendly staff. One of us is coeliac and was delighted to find that all the paninis were gluten free. Also delicious, as was the hot quiche I had. They were also offering gluten free carrot cake and mince pies. I was previously there for an 80th birthday celebration: finger sandwiches, beautiful little cakes and mini quiches and sausage rolls and small scones, perfectly baked with jam and cream. Full range of teas, coffees and non-alcoholic drinks. We'll come again!

As always, the breakfast was very good with good service.

I had actually forgotten about Lord Roberts on the Green, but it just came to me to visit with my sister and a couple of our Mum and Dads old neighbours. It was absolutely lovely. So friendly and polite. The food was delicious. We will be returning for an afternoon tea.

Went yesterday (4/11/25) with my friend for lunch. Been here a few times already. I’d ordered the falafel salad as there was no warm vegan option on the menu (weather was cold so not what I’d usually order) even though I’d had their warm falafel wrap a few times. The food took just under an hour to arrive and I was told there was no vegan feta but only sliced vegan cheese so they’d add that on the salad. The salad arrived with no cheese and the falafels were the hardest most driest I’d ever tasted. My friend also tried them and spat it out saying they were too dry for her. They definitely weren’t fresh. Very disappointing lunch yesterday considering it’s such a beautiful place and we’ve both been here quite a few times.

This is my second visit to Lord Roberts on the Green and will definitely go again. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal on both occasions, as did those I was there with. The menu has lots to choose from and the food is lovely. Good portion sizes too.

Presentation lovely I ordered poached eggs on toasted sourdough and grilled mushrooms. Unfortunately I got avocado on my slightly toasted sourdough one slice cut in half with chili and I think pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes.. my husband didn’t want to make a fuss but I was very upset about this and ate it . The staff said they il take it back but my sister in law and husband was eating there’s and we only had limited time . Although my booking was made online and said it was a birthday , as previously an acknowledgment was made for a birthday and it made it special, nothing was special unfortunately. Overall I was upset this time . Also tea was ordered and me and my husband shared a small teapot with small cups . I’m sorry for this review wish I was more positive. My husband paid which I thought wa expensive. I went b ack and spoke to manager I think she was,and she said breakfast on house next time.but not sure how I feel about a return trip.

Splendid meal and drinks yesterday. The service was 5* nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and inviting. Very varied menu.

Second time back! Sunday 5 October at 1:30pm. Pre-booked our table and it was ready with a very cute sign when we arrived. Staff were lovely and welcoming. We had a passion fruit drink, panini and the beetroot, feta and avocado salad. The food was fresh, delicious and well presented. Generous portions. Attentive but not intrusive service. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. Thank you.
