Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyLovely garden and service. I had a jacket potato with tuna which was fine but a bit dry.
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyFresh Salad. Great atmosphere and service.
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyVery disappointed with our visit this time. Menu changed without much choice and worst of all we were asked to move from our table when we were still eating as preparation for a special event was beginning. We would have finished our meal in plenty of time if we had been served shortly after our arrival (which had been booked) but after sitting at our table for approximately minutes I had to ask someone to please take our order.
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyHelpful and polite staff. Good range of options on the lunch menu. Food was delicious. I'm a regular customer and will return.
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyDelicious , tasty and beautifully presented food as usual, alongside attentive service. Great place!
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyDelicious food, great service and nice atmosphere. We had reserved a table for 3 but our table was being used. We were asked to share a large table with 5 others, but we chose to sit at a table for 2 instead. We were disappointed that our booking in advance had not benefitted us .
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyWhat a lovely place. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We had really good service. We ate outside in the sunshine - lots of seating. Later went inside when it got colder. Inside is so restful and calming. Beautiful decor. Great lunch time menu. We had salads amd and a panini. All delicious.
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyOur group went for breakfast, it was pretty quiet inside, maybe as it was a beautiful day. I had the full English, the beans had not been cooked (the ramekin was cold), sausage was small and cold, bacon overcooked and portion was small for £13. The rest of the party had pancakes, which were not 'fluffy American' style as billed, but looked like the kind you can pick up at any supermarket. My friend couldn't drink her coconut milk Chai Latte as it didn't taste very good, and it cost nearly £5. Finally, the service wasn't great. When I asked for my beans to be re-heated I'd nearly finished my meal by the time they arrived, and the waitress just said "here you go" and walked off. No apology, and no manners. Overall it was really disappointing. Is it new management? I loved it last time I went!
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyWent for brunch on Monday. Its always busy and we had a bit of wait (20 mins) to order and (20 mins) to get our food. I had the full breakfast and my wife had the chocolate fudge cake. Food was good, unusually I had a choice of lamb or a chicken sausage £13. The cake was relatively small for £5..half of what you would get in Dobbies. The quality showed thru so they are ordering stuff at the higher end of the Bidvest wholesale catering supply. Overall the staff are friendly albeit they're over worked and kitchen was backed up. It's a very pleasant spot, with about 10 tables. I think at off peak times a good place for a coffee and a chat. I'll go back.
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyThis is a great little venue however the service was not great , took over a hour to get our food and when we asked how long it would be we had a very defensive reply from the waitress , on top of this we got over charged at the end on our bill , added a flat white when we never ordered it. There was no apologies for the slow service and didn’t seem to care
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyLovely atmosphere and setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is great - delicious!
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyLovely food, pretty restaurant and great service.
Lord Roberts on the Green – PurleyWonderful place of verdant green foilage as you step through the door...Beautiful plants for sale and unusual gifts. With a great wine bar specialising in South African wines, I sampled a couple of them...very good indeed. I had the signature board of hams and cheese...yum. Extremely friendly staff very warm and welcoming. Will return to sample more delicious wines and food.
The Aycorn Shoppe – PurleyPopped in one day when it was raining for a coffee but ended up trying the meal deal. Amazing value for money and loved the old RAF pictures and decor. Friendly staff
