We have eaten regularly here and love it. The food is excellent and the people are so helpful. This time however we were placed on a tiny table near the door. It was freezing outside and as people were coming in and out the draught really hit us. Coats were necessary and I was surprised that no one asked us why we were sat in our coats. If we have this table offered to us again we will politely decline-first time we have felt like this. Suggest that this table is removed from the booking platform? Atmosphere normally 5/5 but not this time Staff could have dealt with our discomfort but may have been fully booked? -again normally 5/5

Came here two weeks ago for my birthday and had a wonderful time! The food was great and the drinks were delicious! We always rave about the panelle - they are just amazing and would order this every time!

What a wonderful little gem of a restaurant pleasantly greeted on arrival the staff are excellent hosts and the food is exceptional we have been a few times before and will certainly be going back deserves supporting.

Once again a lovely night up on the mezzanine being served wonderfully tasty food from very attentive staff... the atmosphere here always has a nice vibe. I can't recommend this place enough, never had a bad dish here. Thoroughly recommend.

One of the best ever

We visit The Whitchaff on Saturday evening and enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. Actually we all said that the food was delicious! We had different meals ranging from Steak Pie, Chicken Shawrama burger and Chicken Sizzlers. We ate all of it so that seams to say lots. The staff were all very friendly, respectful and polite to us. We would definitely recommend this lovely place to anyone.

Booked a table for a family get together for a family birthday, table was booked for 5pm, the majority of us were looking forward to Sunday roast, but were informed they had run out, so quite disappointed to be honest, we made other choices and the food was delicious, albeit for one dish which was cold, but I did make staff aware and the meal was removed from the bill, a big menu, with lots of choice, beautiful interior and overall a good experience..

I love the Whitchaff, consistently good food. Staff are always lovely. I had steak and stilton pie with chips and mushy peas, it's amazing, my friend had a selection of dishes. Cannot praise them enough

Lovely venue, lovely decor. Nice atmosphere. Always spoilt for choice with the menu, too many dishes to choose from that we have to keep returning .Highly recommend. Worth the 30 mile drive each visit

We came here for the first time and had food in the bar area which was very nice staff was very helpful and the food was as good as it gets , this place has been recomended to us so many times to us and we eventually came and will definatley be back again.

There was a lot of choice on the menu, with both traditional pub food and a varied ‘specials’ menu. The food was delicious and well presented. The dining area was spacious and the atmosphere was friendly. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was competitively priced and represented value for money. I will definitely return and I will recommend The Whitchaff to family and friends.

The usual friendly welcome and service and easily booked on line too!Food was excellent,hot and tasty as we have come to expect.The surroundings are relaxing and clean as are the immaculate toilets.All in all a lovely break from ‘normal’ life
