Just lovely, excellent service, the serving staff are amazing. Great food and nice atmosphere, couldn’t fault it. Just closes to early for a Saturday night is my only comment xxx

Lovely meal at the Whitchaff, as always! As it was national pie week, all six of us had pie of some sort - fish pie, steak and stilton pie or steak pie, all with came with veg. One of our party asked for their accompanying pepper mash to be replaced with mustard mash and this was absolutely no problem. All the meals were delish. Three of us enjoyed a dessert too, but the others were full up. The food offerings at the Whitchaff are consistently good - you really can't go wrong here.

Lovely meal here last week. The place itself is fantastic decor and layout-wise. Service was excellent and the food was top quality and really varied. We went for the recommended 5 dishes and initially thought we might have under ordered but we needn’t have worried the amounts were perfect and left just enough room for a delicious shared dessert! Would recommend highly and would definitely come back again.

Great table position. Drinks good but a little pricey. Chicken sizzler very good with appropriate portion size, varied vegetables. The fish pie a little short on fish not particularly varied in fish either , a little disappointed and way to salty. Vegetables were very good appropriate portion size. 1.5 hours length of stay enough for our stay this time. Friendly staff.

Amazing place, food was perfect, atmosphere lovely and staff were so polite and friendly. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back soon. Reasonably priced to for what you get! Thankyou for a lovely dinner.

Whenever we have friends over to visit The Whitchaff is always our go to... Becky and her team always make you feel very welcome. The menu is spot on with loadsa great sounding dishes and a really good variety. If that wasnt enough the specials are always great too. The food was wonderfully delicious as per. If you are in the area then a visit to The Whitchaff is a no brainer.

Food was really lovely as was the venue & staff. If I had to be critical I’d just ask that the food was served at a slower pace and that we were given a little longer at the table! Otherwise enjoyed our evening

Great food, great atmosphere and staff attentive.

We had a very enjoyable meal on Saturday evening at the pub although a 1945 mealtime was probably a little late for the evening we choose, If we were to go back then we would book a little earlier as come the end of the meal the service dipped slightly probably just due to staff finishing perhaps. The choice of food is varied and caters for all tastes….maybe highlighting there was a separate vegetarian menu would have been useful but to be fair we didn’t ask and only found out after the meal. All in all very good although like many places a tad expensive.

Everything on the menu in this restaurant is incredible especially the Sunday roast. Always piping hot and very good portions. The special Spanish chicken was excellent. Service is brilliant and very friendly staff. The Fairground dessert is sensational and not just for children!!
