Perfect experience once again. Lovely staff, great food, appealing atmosphere.

Food is delicious as always and love the decor and atmosphere. Only thing that will put me off going again is that the wooden chairs are so uncomfortable. I used to come with my friend nearly every week and we'd spend a couple of hours chatting, whilst eating and drinking. However, I got seated in a wooden chair recently and it was unbearably painful as the back bar goes right across the middle of your back so you can't sit back and relax. Even though the food was incredible and I wanted to stay longer, I couldn't just because of the chair. I also noticed a young woman on the table next to me, move from her wooden chair onto the booth seating after less than 5mins as she said it was so uncomfortable, so it's not just me. Real shame

Our third visit and we always have great food and service. The menu is extensive and caters for different people.

Love this place. Food is exceptional. Atmosphere is lovely. One of my favourite places to eat.

The food is always very good at The Whitchaff and reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend The Whitchaff to all family and friends.

Absolute chaos when we arrived. The staff kindly allowed us a table that was much better than the one they had allocated to us. But it was downhill from then on. Ordered wine but 15 mins later nothing arrived. In view of this & seeing a woman complaining she still hadn’t received her meal we decided to leave. Granted there were lots of large Christmas parties & the staff were pulled out but we weren’t willing to pay for a meal to a) potentially wait a long time for and b) eat under such a chaotic environment

Went on a saturday night, staff were very helpful and lovely service nothing was too much trouble and we had a fussy eater with us. The food was beautiful, i had lamb rump for main course and it just melted in your mouth. Definitley will be visiting again.

Another fabulous evening, great food, good service and atmosphere… The food was amazingly we had a few of the specials which we’re great too

I felt I was complaining too much when our table was delayed. So didn't complain about having no fork, managed though as it was a sandwich style meal

Lunch for two on a week day. Food and service were excellent, we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. It was quiet, which was the idea. The other time I've eaten here was on a Saturday night, the place was rammed and very noisy. I don't drink beer as often as I used to, Northern Whisper is most excellent. I'll eat here again.

Great food & drink with a buzzy atmosphere.

5* experience as always. My partner and I’s favourite restaurant. The service is friendly, great atmosphere, and the food is outstanding. Never had a bad meal once ! Always try something from the Specials. This week it was a porcini mushroom pasta dish that I wish I could eat every day! :-) I recommend the Ribs which just melt in your mouth, the Prawns which are huge and bursting with flavour, and the Arancini is a firm fave !

Favourite restaurant in Rawtenstall. Good atmosphere, good quality food, unique menu, great service.
