We've visited a few times.. It's always excellent.. Great food, big portions, it's either a starter or desserts! Definitely be back soon and highly recommend

Excellent food and exceptional service.

Lovely food and atmosphere as always and great service. A piece of constructive feedback is to serve more bread with the meat plater. 2 thin slices of baguette is not enough in my opinion. Other than that it was fabulous and offer of 3 dishes for £20, great. It can get a little noisy at times though as it has such a high ceiling.

We love the whitchaff , came last Xmas eve & it was amazing so we booked again this Xmas eve , not the same experience unfortunately . It was really cold , I asked for the fire to be lit which they did but it wasn’t checked so went out quickly . Our food also was just warm , I understand how busy they are this time of year & all the staff were fantastic but it’s a lot of money to spend . We will be back but just not at Xmas when it’s too busy .

We are regulars here and it’s our favourite restaurant when we fancy lovely home cooked food. The turkey dinner was gorgeous so tasty. We have enjoyed every meal. Staff are always welcoming.

Arrived 30 mins early - this wasn’t an issue for the staff who showed us to our table immediately. We had to ask to place our orders after around 25 mins The food quality was excellent and it was served quite quickly once ordered and was hot. The area we were sat in by the smoking area was cold - not helped by the radiator and fire not being on despite it being a cold day So overall a mixed experience this visit

Fantastic place, brilliant atmosphere & delicious food with generous portions! The waiters and waitresses were also so kind and attentive. We love this place!

Another lovely lunch at The Whitchaff. We had the Roast Turkey Crown and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. The staff are very friendly and efficient. We will be back!

Food is delicious as always and love the decor and atmosphere. Only thing that will put me off going again is that the wooden chairs are so uncomfortable. I used to come with my friend nearly every week and we'd spend a couple of hours chatting, whilst eating and drinking. However, I got seated in a wooden chair recently and it was unbearably painful as the back bar goes right across the middle of your back so you can't sit back and relax. Even though the food was incredible and I wanted to stay longer, I couldn't just because of the chair. I also noticed a young woman on the table next to me, move from her wooden chair onto the booth seating after less than 5mins as she said it was so uncomfortable, so it's not just me. Real shame

Our third visit and we always have great food and service. The menu is extensive and caters for different people.

Love this place. Food is exceptional. Atmosphere is lovely. One of my favourite places to eat.
