Great meal, as always, at Ravelston House. Staff are really friendly & helpful. Restaurant was very busy with it being Mother’s Day, but the food was high quality as usual & service fab.

My husband ordered a Sunday dinner which was very poor very few veg it and assortment of veg it was just 2 stems broccoli, and 4 tiny roast potatoes. My steak pie was lovely and both puddings were very nice . Staff were lovely but we waited half an hour to get our food.

Warm and friendly staff. Very obliging. Enjoyed our food, very tasty and good sized portions.

We have been here three times now and every time the food was delicious. The staff are helpful. Would highly recommend and we will be back!

We arrived at 6.30pm. It wasn't that busy for a Friday night. Right away I was concerned as they are still using their Festive menu!! It's changed since I was last year and there was a piano player in the centre of the room. He was very good. My only negative is that he played 'louder' when a group of 8 ladies came into the restaurant. This meant it became rather noisy and we had to speak louder to hear ourselves. 3 (of the 6) had starters. These were cleared away however we then waited over an hour for our main course. While waiting a waiter did approach us and ask if we'd had our starters! He then returned 5 minutes later with main courses but they weren't ours. They were fir the table next to us who still had their starter plates on the table. I observed the save waiter wandering around with other starters and again trying to serve to a wrong table. I'm giving Cronies Restaurant 3 stars because the food was nice once it finally arrived. But the service was very poor. It wasn't that busy so I'm unsure why the chef took so long to make our main courses.

Poor experience.The dining room is incredibly dark &depressing. We waited over half an hour for some very average food.

Itison deal was good value. Especially as it included food and drink. We had 2 courses and drinks for £30 voucher spend Enjoyed food. Glad we just ordered the smaller fish and chips as portions were very big.

The food was nice but the service wasn’t the best had to keep shouting the waiter over to order food or drinks. Was slow service and then I had a wowcher voucher which I asked if I could use and I was told it was using this wasn’t allowed the 50% off food which wasn’t explained when we first went in. Wouldn’t rush back I think if they have a lot of bookings to have more staff
