Anarkali Indian – GlasgowThis was one of the best restaurants I?e have ever been to. I had a perfect dining experience and the most amazing meal that I have ever tasted. It was the lobster ravioli and i think it was perfect in every way. I will certainly go again if I ever happen to visit Edinburgh.
Martin Wishart – EdinburghI have to say this restaurant is in the wrong place it should be in a upmarket area like London. The food was just outstanding went in the place with a group of my friends, we we served by a cheerful young waiter with glasses (specs) not wine glasses, he was very good at explaining to us about the banquet which we all decided to go for. And we didn't regret it one bit , what an excellent choice of food and the selection and quantity was outstanding. We will be back.
Balbirs Restaurant – GlasgowThe "Grill" at Tiger Tiger is a standalone stylish restaurant experience serving steaks, salads, burgers and grills until late and provides a fresh forum for private banquets. Staff are fun and friendly whilst service is pleasurable. The best night out you can get!!!
Mansion House – GlasgowStill unbeatable as the best Thai food in Edinburgh so far...I have looked for others as I like variety...however the Thai orchid comes up trumps and I can't recommend it enough. Staff are cool, the girls pretty and efficient without being overwhelming and the food is authentic and unlike many other Thai restaurants is Thai. So if in town this is the obvious choice.
Thai Orchid – EdinburghI love this place. Its away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The food is delicious and they give you a generous portion. The staff can? do enough for you, it? clean its tasty and its on your doorstep. What more could you want??
Konaki Greek Taverna – GlasgowI love curry and usually frequent my chosen few restaurants throughout the years. First time visit to Balbirs was on Friday trying the banquet for 2 . Next restaurant I am going to is this one. It can't get better than this!
Balbirs Restaurant – GlasgowThis restaurant is very good, I can recommend
Rafaels – EdinburghOne of the best Thai restaurants outside Thailand fully recommended
Siam Thani – EdinburghVisited this restaurant and had a lovely time. Service was friendly, food excellent, little bit expensive but you only get what you pay for. The best part was not being able to choose from the four lovely desserts so the chef let us have a small portion of all four - FANTASTIC ! We will definitely return for more.
Martin Wishart – EdinburghWent for lunch and the meal was great. we have returned on other occasions and quality was consistent... first class
Annpurna Vegetarian – EdinburghI came up from London for the weekend and had possibly the best Indian meal I have tasted outside of England. The starters were amazing and the main courses were excellent. So much in fact that we ate there for 3 days during our stay.
Shenaz – GlasgowPhuket Pavillion is an authentic thai restaurant, the food is fantastic the service is warm and personal and is a great place for dinner for two or large groups!
Phuket Pavillion – EdinburghI learnt about this restaurant through this site. the first time i went there everything was outstanding, second time service was a bit slow but everything else was great. Ever since everything has been great apart from when you cant get a table on weekends. You need to book! I just want to thank miss moira for the fantastic recommendation. I totally agree. great restaurant. just don't expect the food to be served really quickly, but it's well worth the wait
Balbirs Restaurant – GlasgowI can't recommend this place highly enough. The locally sourced food is imaginatively prepared with plenty of attention to detail. I never eat salmon when out as I'm invariably disappointed, but the Orkney organic salmon with lime and vanilla mash was absolutely heavenly and I didn't want it to end! Although pricey, the food is worth every penny and the buzzy atmosphere in the courtyard makes for a great meal out with friends- for a more intimate setting, ask for the dining room. Can't wait til I'm up in Glasgow again!
Ubiquitous Chip – GlasgowPancho Villas was a great restaurant. It was very reasonable and I thought it would be a lot more expensive which I was worried about. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. The portions of the food are great for the price.
Pancho Villas – GlasgowThis is a really nice vegetarian restaurant for lunch or evening. They also explain about the dishes if you are interested. The lunch menu is 'eat all you can' but with the sensible advice to avoid wasting food to put off the gluttons whose eyes are bigger than their bellies. Recommended.
Kalpna – EdinburghGreat little restaurant. Excellent food and great variety. Friendly staff and nice simple decoration. Good selection of wines. Definitely worth a visit
Barbarossa – Glasgow2 courses for £16. Available Monday to Friday until 7pm.
