Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeSuperb meal at Cafe Fish to celebrate my husbands bigger birthday. We planned our celebrations around it. Tapas trio, Mussels and Tom Yam absolutely delicious. It’s not just the fish but the staff and atmosphere that also make it all excellent. It’s definitely somewhere very special. Simply the best for us. Big thank you.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeReally good. The food is genuinely great value for money in these inflationary times and the service was great - every member of staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and accommodating, without being 'too much'. The pair of us really enjoyed the food - if you get any dish with the chips (I got the Philly Cheese Steak baguette) - those chips are SO nice and definitely not from frozen! They do add a 10% service charge to your bill, but the waiter that brought the bill made it very clear when he handed the bill to me that this was on there, and was entirely discretionary, which many restaurants don't do, in recent experience. Excellent value, cosy decor, very clean place, timely service for a pre-theatre meal and great service - I'll definitely be back.
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowWe had a fantastic early supper here, it gets booked up quickly so you need to plan ahead. If you are visiting Tobermory and have a love of seafood then I urge you to dine here. The food is delicious, so fresh and perfectly cooked. Have booked to go again.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAsked for a medium rare steak - way over cooked!
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowMyself and my Husband had an amazing meal. My Husband had the hot shellfish platter and he said it was absolutely divine! The best he has ever had. I had the Hake with black pudding crumb and cauliflower puree that was also delicious. If we lived in Tobermory we would visit all the time. The best meal of our holiday.

Ravelston House – EdinburghDinner on Friday 10th May 2024. Had lunch here a few years ago, and it was excellent. We’re often on Mull out of season, so it was nice to experience a dinner service for the first time. Simply put, everything was brilliant, atmosphere, service, and wonderful seafood perfectly cooked. My only small gripe is the strange non acceptance of debit/ credit cards for payment, it’s cash only, or a bank transfer if you have a banking app on your phone. To be fair, this is made clear when you book, but it seems weird to me on a number of levels. Sadly they don’t do a lunch service anymore, so book well in advance if you can, they get very busy, but it’s so worth it.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeExcellent food, great location and helpful staff. Will definitely visit again!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWent for a meal on Saturday 11th May 2024. Staff as always were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the food was quite below par for our visit this time. The Balmoral chicken tasted nice but chicken was overcooked and very dry. Haggis bon bon starter was only lukewarm and sauce was congealed. My son's kids meal chips had been left in the fryer too long and were dark brown. Chicken Jalfrezi was overly tomato based, chicken was dry and there was a layer of oil on the sauce. We usually always enjoy the food when visiting, so hoping it was perhaps just an off day. Not sure if would return for food, but venue itself is lovely for a drink and the staff are always wonderful.
Ravelston House – EdinburghIn for breakfast again and always food is great and service even better.
