We enjoyed two meals whilst staying in the area. Lovely food and service
Craven Arms – SettleHad a lovely meal here last Sunday. Staff were attentive. Place had a calm comfortable atmosphere. Food was delicious, would recommend the trout main and the chocolate pot pudding. My husband really enjoyed his pork roast too. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Craven Arms – SettleWe have never had a bad meal here no matter what day of the week we have been. Service is always excellent. Good choice of beers, ciders and lagers. Could not think of a better place to spend my time!
Craven Arms – SettleThe food was really good and the staff were excellent. We got chatting to the owner , who was really friendly and appreciative of us calling in for an evening meal.
Craven Arms – SettleAn exceptional meal. I had the soup of the day (courgette and leek) followed by the steak with Yorkshire blue cheese sauce. Both were really first class and the steak was one of the most tender and delicious I've ever tasted, cooked to perfection. The raspberry and elderflower pannacotta was a great way to finish. Everything about this evening was first rate: friendly and very efficient service with great food. I hope we get the chance to come back soon. The spacious dining room meant that there was plenty of space between tables so a very nice atmosphere too.
Craven Arms – SettleWe thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Craven Arms. Excellent food, superb service and a lovely atmosphere.
Craven Arms – SettleOur visit was excellent. Attention to detail was second to none. The food was great. From starter to main and desert it was excellent.
Craven Arms – SettleI have eaten here many times over the years. I came with some friends from Kent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and desserts. All the staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.
Craven Arms – SettleExcellent food, drink and service.
Craven Arms – SettleWe visit the area once a year. 3 years ago, we came across this pub & called in on the off chance of availability. Very welcoming & the lady who appears to be owner runs a good, tight ship. The service is excellent, the food lovely, nice & clean and we go back everytime we are in Yorkshire :) Would recommend!
Craven Arms – SettleGood quality food, lovely attentive staff, pleasant atmosphere. We have been to The Craven Arms several times and always enjoy it - we will be back soon.
Craven Arms – SettleWe have been coming to The Craven Arms now for nearly six years on and off (before and after we moved to Yorkshire) and it is our favourite place to eat. Delicious food and a nice, friendly atmosphere with lovely staff.
Craven Arms – SettleFirst time visiting and we weren’t disappointed we will definitely be back
Craven Arms – SettleFive old friends enjoyed a very nice lunch and get-together at the Craven Arms yesterday. We were well looked after by the restaurant staff, and the service and quality of food were excellent. My soup and trout were delicious, and in fact we all enjoyed what we ordered. Two friends hadn’t been there before, it declared it a good find and said they would happily go back there again.
Craven Arms – SettleWe were camping nearby so booked in for a Sunday lunch. It didn’t disappoint. Pleasant staff and a top notch Sunday roast! Will return
Craven Arms – SettleOrdered 2 beef Sunday dinners. Both came with minimal veg, roasts were dry, bland and not crisp, beef was pre-sliced and not from a joint, was chewy/ tough/ fatty in parts. Gravy was nice. Yorkshire pudding was nice and big. Cauliflower cheese was nice. So to improve more veg, better roasts and beef. Service was adequate, the dining area was crowded with table/ chairs possibly to try and cope with the busy season. A forgettable atmosphere with no music but a clean, simplistic look.
Craven Arms – SettleHad Sunday lunch here and was quite disappointed this time. We have eaten here before and the meals have always been good. We both had Roast beef dinner. The beef was quite tough and chewy, the roast potatoes were okay but not crisp, the cauliflower cheese was horrible, the cauliflower was soggy and the cheese sauce was very thick. The carrots were soft and the sugar snap peas were stringy. The Yorkshire puddings were okay but could have been crispy. All in all it was definitely not worth nearly £18.00 each. What a shame as this is usually our go to place when we're at our caravan but we will have to look for somewhere else now.
Craven Arms – SettleLovely venue. Professional friendly service. Food good quality well prepared and presented.
