Lovely Sunday roast. Let down by the roast potatoes. Taste and texture not good.... had been made too many hours in advance and stood to go off.

I stayed one night and had breakfast. I was joined for dinner by a number of friends who did not stay in the hotel. The choice for breakfast was extremely comprehensive with something for everyone. The dinner menu was varied and unusual. There were five of us and we had three different meals and they were all excellent. The service was first class and the staff and management were very friendly. Highly recommended.

Very happy with the food and service very enjoyable have recommended to customers at my husbands work (local caravan site) will be visiting again thanks!

We stayed one night so had dinner and breakfast. Menu was good, varied and inventive. food was very good, delicious, good quality ingredients and well presented, decent portion sizes. Some choices came with choice of a smaller portion for less cost which i think is a great idea. The trout was beautifully soft with crispy skin just how i like it. service was excellent, waitresses were friendly, efficient and polite. Breakfast was equally good with lovely choices of hot food, yoghurts, toast and cereal. It wasn't very busy but a midweek night, which is why i marked it down on atmosphere. i understand that it does get very busy and that will probably be different. Would definitely recommend to stay or just eat

Our annual visit to this fine restaurant. I had the trout which was sautéed on a bed of green beans. And very well done it was too. My son went for the de rigueur (for him) burger and chips, which he enjoyed. I finished off with a delicious sticky toffee pudding and my son had chocolate mousse and tiffin

We had a lovely time in the restaurant. We walked all the way from Settle, where we were staying and, as on our previous visits, it was worth the 1.3 mile walk! The food was great - very definitely in the direction of haute cuisine! - and the staff were both friendly and efficient. We are certain that staying at the hotel would be equally great. No hesitation, however, in recommending the restaurant from our experience.

Our second visit - again we enjoyed a lovely meal - great service - very friendly staff. Looking forward to visiting again.

We came to The Craven Arms for lunch yesterday. The food was outstanding. We were a group of 5 and had a mix of starters, mains and desserts. Every single thing was delicious. Lovely service and reasonably priced. We were particularly impressed with the standard of presentation! Definitely the best meal I’ve had in the area and will now be our regular

Had a great meal with friends. Interesting dishes, well presented and good options for those in our party with allergies. Very friendly staff. Not your usual pub fare.

Had a lovely Sunday dinner, I am gluten free and so happy to find a dedicated gluten free menu with a Sunday lunch with a homemade Yorkshire pudding. Starters were tasty and a decent portion size, and were served quickly. We both had roast beef which was excellent, good portions and nice and hot. Service was excellent, friendly but not intrusive. We are local and have visited quite a lot and will definitely return and would recommend.

The wife and I went for Sunday Roast yesterday. The food, the staff and the ambience were all excellent.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Craven Arms. We were staying in the area at a holiday cottage, this place came recommended and we weren’t disappointed. We both had pea and mint soup with fresh crusty bread, so delicious. I had lamb lunch, my husband had beef. Really tasted beautiful, cooked to perfection. Huge Yorkshire pudding, generous portions of meat, vegetables and gravy. Staff were lovely, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Nice relaxing atmosphere, restaurant clean, tidy and well organised. Would definitely recommend!
