We have wanted to try the Craven Arms for quite some time as friends suggested it. On arrival the staff were great, the atmosphere cosy but the food was a complete disappointment. We found it tasteless and very poor quality. My husband had the beef wellington and I had the stir fry, which can only be described as gloopy. We had travelled 40 minutes to the Craven passing many other eateries which would have been a better option, but hey-ho you give these places a go.

Wonderful food, very pleasant staff. Menu choices are great and great specials too. Belly pork risotto was define, please make it part of the main menu as it’s one not to be missed.

Excellent meal. The food was fantastic, the service was second to none and I also made them aware it was our sons 21st and my dad’s 81st birthday, so on arrival the table had streamers and balloons and then at the end they brought them their desserts with candles in, which was a really nice touch. It made the meal into a birthday celebration and really special, you do not get this everywhere you go and this is why we keep returning to the Craven Arms. The pork belly and risotto on the daily specials was excellent. Put it on the main menu !

Quality of food and service very good But could have done with bigger portions still hungry afterwards.

This is the third time we have visited and was as lovely as always. Highly recommend the Beef Wellington. The service was very good, friendly and polite. We look forward to returning

We had a delicious meal at the Craven arms last night. The pulled beef wellington was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The halloumi warm salad ordered by my partner was also outstanding. Full marks all round for the meals and the service. Heartily recommended.

Lovely meal on two occasions whilst staying in the area, good for gluten free options, would recommend.

Eaten here before and the food is always good. Portion sizes are good. Good selection of beers and wines, very friendly staff. Would highly recommend

We enjoyed a lovely meal in The Craven Arms, we had drinks, soup, gammon and the beautiful roulade. Restaurant was a perfect size, not too big a restaurant not to be intimate but not too small or too close to other tables to feel on top of each area. Tastefully decorated, nicely situated with car parking, beer garden, friendly helpful staff. The food was beautiful, served on piping hot plates, will definately return.

Creative and delicious food beautifully presented. The effort put into the vegan options was exceptional. Attentive and friendly service.

Lovely lunch here yesterday with friendly service and really good food. Catered for my Coeliac husband with no fuss and good choices. If you ever made the squid starter gluten free....he'd be your friend for life!!

Found this lovely place on the final afternoon of our two week holiday.... The food was exceptional pub/restaurant fare. Using locally sourced produce. Great local beers and ciders on offer too. The ladies working the bar and waiting on were attentive and professional. Will definitely go there again, as it was wonderful. Thank you.

We ate during our stay at the Craven Arms and we had a lovely meal each time. The food is prepared with care and comes out piping hot. My partner was so impressed with the pulled beef wellington he had it twice! The service is great too - would definitely recommend.
