We've never been to the Craven before. We picked it whilst staying over for the weekend nearby and we weren't disappointed. The Craven was lovely. Great food and really good service. Defo worth a visit if you're in the area

Been here several times over recent years and have found the service and food invariably first class. Will continue to return.

My partner and I arrived earlier than scheduled, no problem, seated with drinks our waitress friendly and professional jotted the order down, with a minimal amount of time our food arrived, hot, flavorful and delicious. Karin had the Salmon, and I the lamb, a side dish of vegetables complimented both of our meals. Throughout our meal without seeming intrusive our waitresses, attended, both of us, as well as efficiently dealing with the couples dining close by. Then the desert which again was delightful. All in all this was a delightful experience set in a light atmosphere and decor. The view outside devine, We will be returning in the future. Would We recommend this establishment emphatically Yes.

It was very nice, service was excellent. My main course was a bit iffy though. I had the salmon in herb crust which I liked but the potato lyonnaise was so hard I could barely get my knife through it. I did not complain at the time which I probably should have done. Otherwise all good, super rhubarb crème brûlée

We visited as a table of 4 on 14/07/24, we had 4 roasts. We visited as a pit stop on the way home from the Lake District. The initial order came out very fast (within around 10 minutes). When the food was cleared we asked for the dessert menu, however these weren’t provided so we had to grab a menu from another table. There were 3 members of staff stood behind the coffee area chatting and never returned to the table (waited around 10-15 minutes) so we had to go up and order our own. The food was good but service was average. The staff could be more attentive.

Love the caravan arms. Food is always good not had a bad meal yet. Could do with menu changing more often Or larger specials board with a good variety of gluten free things on it as well. Good variety of puddings for gf people. Always well looked after by the staff who are friendly and very alert checking in with you regularly to make sure all is good.

We arrived at 6.50pm for 7 o’clock booking We ordered our meal at 7 o’clock, we only ordered a main course by 7.30 , I had to ask waitress would our be much longer ? Our meal arrived at 7.40. Food was warm , not sure I would rush back or recommend to family as first choice of place to eat.

Excellent! We stopped off here for lunch en route to Windermere. I can honestly say the food was amazing. Some of us had snacks and some had full meals- everyone said it was delicious. Very pleasant restaurant setting and very pleasant staff! Well done

Fabulous service factor food and choice would definitely recommend

We'd used this as a family meet up between Leeds and Sedbergh during Covid and were well pleased with the personal service from the attentive staff. Chose this again and were blessed with a lovely Sunny day to enjoy a drink in the sheltered garden/patio area before our pre booked lunch for 6. 3 Pork and 1 beef roast and other 2 being soup and sandwich with everyone well pleased. good quality, good service, good price. Great location for anyone doing Y3P and staying at nearby campsites. Venue is very nice and the food was glorious! Staff were all very friendly and catered to some specific needs from our group.

Absolutely fantastic evening meals and cooked breakfast. I stayed two nights at Craven Arms for the Yorkshire Three Peaks. I received a very friendly welcome on arrival on Friday evening. I ordered the beef Wellington - it was superb...so much so, I ordered the same thing on Saturday night! Sunday morning's cooked breakfast was one of the best I've had in a long while. The bacon was so tasty, you can always tell when quality produce is used in a good cooked breakfast.

Exceptional food. If you haven't dined at the Craven Arms, do. Very soon! Our mains were Roast Salmon and Lemon Chicken, both excellent. Yorkshire Rhubarb panna cotta and cheeseboard. Very good wine list too. Lovely meal, very nice staff, great start to our holiday in Ribblesdale.

Dined here on a Saturday evening recently. Favourably impressed with food, service and ambience; the black pudding starter was particularly good though maybe not for everyone! I would happily return.

Was staying locally and decided to try The Craven Arms. Was not disappointed at all! Wonderful food, great, friendly service and reasonably priced. Will definitely return if we are back in this part of the world!
