We have been visiting more regularly for a meal recently and this place gets better . It gets the basics right and deliver what the customer wants (good food, good service and regular opening times), other local establishments should take note. In my view it is now the number one pub food restaurant in the area.

The pub & restaurant has a great atmosphere with friendly staff & booking a table online was so easy. Wonderful meal and great service, a lovely midweek treat. We will be back again, the fish pie is delicious !

2nd meal at the Craven Arms in a week whilst on holiday in the area, first meal was great and this one didn’t disappoint, despite the pub and restaurant being fairly busy, the service was excellent from all the staff, would recommend a visit. We booked a table on line, which was super easy.

The menu has a good choice. I had an evening meal and breakfast. Dinner was excellent and I particularly like that local produce is used, Yorkshire Fettle cheese for example which is a feta type cheese. Very good quality food.

We stayed one night and it was a perfect stay. We had a superior room. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were super comfy. We stayed for dinner and it was delicious. The breakfast was the same. The staff were very friendly. My father lives in Settle and we visit him as often as we can. We have found the perfect place. Thank you so much.

We picked the Craven Arms for its location. I was travelling from Bradford my friend from Appleby We had a lot of catching up to do. We loved everything about the place, people and service. We arrived at opening and chatted till closing at 3pm. At no time did we feel hurried from staff. So friendly and welcoming we are already planning our next visit. I would give it 20 ⭐️ if I could. The food was delicious, service spot on!

Pleasant pub, nice relaxed atmosphere, the food is a cut above the average in the area, and I've tried everywhere within a 5 mile radius. A varied menu that has something for everyone, from vegan's to meat eaters and in-between. Our party of 5 all with 'very' different tastes all said they enjoyed their food. The service was also very good, friendly/personal but always with the right balance of professionalism - from the management to the chefs to the younger waiting staff, they all did their jobs really well. That is certainly getting to be unusual in the local area. Someone at this place knows how to run a restaurant! Prices are ok, I think they are trying hard to keep a lid on their prices in these trying times, anyone who knows hospitality knows that's not easy currently, some diners don't understand how hard that is now. So, I've given 5/5 on every aspect including value for money because of this. Would I go back is always the key question I ask myself? The answer is a definite YES, we had a lovely experience.

Very nice welcome from the Landlord, who made every effort to provide quick service on our way to a performance in Settle. Great service and food and very grateful for that.

This is a great place for an excellent, safe gluten free meal with good choices, from starters to desserts. Staff are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

After reading reviews of the Craven Arms we decided to pay it a visit while on holiday in the area. We were welcomed by very friendly staff who were very attentive. The food was excellent, very tasty and well presented. We would certainly recommend eating here, in fact we booked for another visit before we left which speaks for itself. Great pub, good beer and food .

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful Sunday roast at The Craven Arms, and I must say it was an absolute treat. The experience was made even more enjoyable as we sat outside in their picturesque beer garden, basking in the warm sunshine. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the lamb shoulder. It was cooked to perfection, boasting succulent and tender meat that practically melted in my mouth. The flavors were rich and robust, with just the right amount of seasoning to enhance the natural taste of the lamb. Accompanied by a medley of perfectly roasted vegetables, fluffy Yorkshire puddings, and a generous helping of velvety gravy, it was truly a feast fit for a king. Absolutely excellent food. We had dinner and breakfast during a one-night stay. The halloumi salad and lamb hot pot were outstanding for dinner, and the salmon and eggs were perfect for breakfast. The Craven Arms served some of the best food we have had in our two-month tour of England and Wales.
