Excellent food and service. Well presented. Very tasty meal and I highly recommend the Craven Arms.

We were down on holiday in the Lake District and decided to visit Settle and meet up with family, who live near Preston, for lunch at the Craven Arms. We had great food, well cooked, presented and very tasty. My wife reckoned that the roast potatoes she had with her dish were perfect, which isn't what you always get in a restaurant these days. All in all this was a great choice for food and is a place to recommend.

Excellent ladies lunch celebrating a special birthday. Table was ready when we arrived. We all enjoyed a main and dessert. Very good gluten free menu. All said we’d return again

My wife and I visited the Craven Arms last night whilst on holiday. We booked a table for 6pm and arrived a bit early to have a drink, we were shown to our table and left to view the menu whilst the helpfull barman got our drinks. We chose the homemade bread with oil/balsamic vinegar for starters followed by the 8oz sirloin steak which was all very nice, the steaks were cooked to how we like them. I had sticky toffee pudding and my wife had the dark chocolate mouse cake for desserts, they were very nice. Overall very happy and the bill was reasonable for what we had inc drinks. We would dine hear again and recommend others to try it as you won't be dissapointed.

Absolutely delicious food and impeccable service is what best describes this restaurant. We had a lovely experience here and again the following night. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Another great weekend at Craven Arms. Owners and staff look after you so well. Love the real ales and choice of gins in the bar before we go in to dinner, always a great atmosphere on a Friday night. We always book for dinner as it gets so busy and both Friday & Saturday dinner was superb, warm halloumi salad is worth going for just for that, and risotto with crispy leeks was delicious too great choice for vegetarians and the meat eating hubby is NEVER disappointed. We rarely have room for dessert after starter and main.

We had an early reservation for 6pm but the restaurant was already quite busy with a good atmosphere. The waiting staff were excellent and very attentive. Menu was very varied and the food was very good. I especially appreciated the smaller sized main option as it left me with enough room to enjoy a lovely raspberry roulade. Would highly recommend.

As an ‘expat’ Yorkshireman I visit the Dales a couple of times a year to visit old friends one of whom introduced me to the Craven Arms. It is now a must go to place for a meal. Great ambience, superb range of food and attentive staff - every time. Thanks to one and all, I strongly recommend the Craven Arms.

Excellent Sunday lunch, beef and lamb was so tender. Friendly staff and attentive, lovely atmosphere.

First visit after recommendations from neighbours. Excellent fish pie and white bait.

Fantastic meal with 5 friends celebrating my birthday , the restaurant was full to capacity but this didn’t affect the excellent service , the food was top class my first choice for dinning out

We had a very enjoyable meal this week in lovely surroundings and excellent staff. My only criticism would be that I could purchase a bottle of low alcohol wine but could not get a glass which was a shame as it was a special occasion

What a wonderful dinner at this charming pub restaurant. The chicken liver pate was rich and delicious with a red onion chutney as a foil… and big bonus for me, I could actually order it because they had gluten-free bread. The fish pie was also excellent and also available gluten free. I sat in the pub section where people bring their dogs…gives everything a homey and warm vibe. Love this place!

Nice place but the burger I ordered was very plain no salad or anything with it and made of processed beef probably shop bought as were the fries not nice at all
