Dad and I went for Sunday lunch, both had the turkey, and it was delicious. The best Sunday lunch out and we've tried a few locally including hotels. Can't wait to return.

Really disappointed always had lovley meals here but this time all I can say is the chips were hard and crispy . This tells me they had been fried more than once. My partners were fine so I obviously got the stuff that had stood for ages. Not sure if I will be back.

Our Gammon Steak meal gets a massive thumbs up, also the Chicken Flatbread gets a massive thumbs up. The Pork with Black Pudding Mash was delicious!

I booked a table for 3 at 12.45pm yesterday. I forgot just how good the experience was! From walking in to be greeted to the fabulous food which we all thoroughly enjoyed. My husband had salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The price of the meals is very good for the quality of food provided. We will be back sooner this time. Many thanks, Caroline

Another great experience at Harbour Lights South Shields. Booked in advance as Sunday is very popular. Warm greeting and shown to our table. Water provided for our dog and then came to take of our other. Drinks, starter and main (Rump of Beef) came out swiftly despite most tables occupied. Staff checked in that everything was ok. Definitely recommend and will visit next time we are in the area.

I had a featherblade of beef and Mark had the rump (pink) Sunday lunch on 31st May 2026 The portions are a good size my beef melted in my mouth as I like it. Marks was pink but could have been more for him but that's Personel choice. The staff friendly and can't do enough for you. Fast service but you never feel rushed.

Great breakfast meeting spot at an excellent price. The English breakfasts are always very good and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There's an area for well behaved dogs and another that's dog free, so there's something for everyone. It's our go to breakfast spot when we meet family and friends.

Went for Sunday lunch, I had honey roast ham and my partner had the braised beef. I didn't say anything at the time but I thought the portion of ham compared to the beef was poor. As for value for money its comparable with a more local venue we go to, but the the meat portions are better.

This place is becoming our regular now. Welcoming staff and an excellent atmosphere. Great menus choices, classic pub food with a specials board, which changes frequently. The food is absolutely amazing, always fresh and hot, great quality and reasonably priced. Huge portions which stop us from having desserts, they look fab though. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, especially for the views

Not sure when the Harbour Lights started their breakfasts from Monday to Saturdays, (9am to 11am) so we decided to give it a go. Whereas there’s plenty of pubs and cafes doing breakfasts, the Harbour Lights was a great choice for quality and value. Initially we’d only booked for 2 but at list minute family wanted to come, they unfortunately got stuck in traffic. We explained this to the waitress and nothing was a problem. She gave us our tea and coffee whilst we waited and was very patient. All the staff were friendly too. There’s a lot of options apart from the normal type breakfast (we chose the middle option traditional. The brave or very hungry could tackle a belly buster breakfast !) Definitely another successful string to the bow for the pub!

We had lovely pizzas and service. Pizza was delicious! However, on my pizza there was only one piece of chilli, rather than distributed across the pizza. The women's toilets were disappointing. One was locked. One blocked with toilet roll. A seat hanging off. And no toilet roll in any cubicle.

Came for a special treat for my mums birthday. Venue is so clean and fresh with great views. The food was absolutely delicious and pipping hot . Mixed grill was huge and required a take away box, chicken parsmesean was stunning, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the staff were so accommodating. Would recommend a visit to anyone wanting great food and a positive experience.

Four of us had a meal here yesterday all different and all enjoyed it thoroughly The lads love the rice pudding and apple crumble- old fashioned puddings ❤️

Lovely staff, lovely surroundings me and my family really enjoyed our meal would recommend no problems the tables were clean and tidy as was the pub and the staff didn't let empty plates build up which is a pet hate of mine overall very good.
