We went for a Sunday carvery. As usual 4 meats to choose from and a good choice of vegetables. All lovely and hot. Very friendly staff who are always on the go. A lovely pub to visit, would definitely recommend.

The carvery was excellent, 4 meats to choose from and a good selection of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and roast potatoes. Food was hot and fresh, we are going to try a wseekday lunch next.
The Master Builder – SouthamptonWe had a fabulous time at the Master Builder on 15/11. Food was lovely & good portions. We had the Christmas Party menu for 6 of us. It was all easy to book online & the staff were very helpful. When we arrived the table was decorated very festive & we had everything we needed. Prawn cocktail was delicious. Turkey Dinner & mushroom Wellington were lovely. The vegetables were cooked soft & not hard, the roast potatoes were crispy but fluffy on inside. We couldn’t fault it, everything was perfect with a Christmas party atmosphere. We felt very well looked after. Can’t fault it.

The staff were lovely very attentive without being over bearing .We had a lovely time we didn’t feel rushed in any way . We will definitely be back and very happy to recommend

I booked and took a sceptic to the platform - she is no longer a sceptic :) excellent menu and the food is top notch - just the friendliest staff and I’ve not felt at home like that in years - great food, live entertainment and a night to remember - well done the platform, this is how it is supposed to be done!!
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonThis was our first time here & the carvery roast was great Loads of meat, lots of choice, plenty of vegetables, which all tasted lovely, the gravy was outstanding and the ambiance in the pub was friendly, families welcomed & children catered for. Altogether a great little find & we will go back. I'm also happy to recommend to family & friends
The Master Builder – SouthamptonWow we have just finished our roast dinner and it was amazing !! Loads of meat given and a large amount of vegetables available. Potatoes are perfect and large yorkies that are not soggy or to crispy .. We will be visiting again , service with a smile . We normally have our roast at the white swan but they seems to be a task only place now and food is very hard with less meat .
The Master Builder – SouthamptonOrdered the Steak pie, absolutely delicious, very good quality ingredients, would have given 5 out of 5, but deducted 1 point, as the plate the food was served on was cold - imo food should always be served on a warm/hot plate.

The Master Builder – SouthamptonEnjoyed a lovely roast dinner at The Platform Tavern on Sunday 6th October. Our table had been reserved, the waitress was amazing, friendly and efficient. I had the roast beef which was delicious and my son had roast lamb which was also delicious. Good value for money, did not have to wait long for our meals. A really nice touch was having live music which made the atmosphere very enjoyable. Thanks to the Chef and the lovely waitress.

The Master Builder – SouthamptonA roast dinner is my all time favourite meal, so you can believe me when I say I have tried them in various restaurants and the one at Platform Tavern ALWAYS WINS!!! It's a good price, the service is always friendly and welcoming and the food just melts in your mouth! It is SO GOOD! Now the winter is setting in, you totally need to get down there and enjoy a yummy roast...as long as you don't make them booked up so I can still go :)
