This is our local pub,. We eat there regularly as well as popping just for a drink. The new management are very welcoming and friendly, as are the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent with a varied menu. Highly recommend Sunday Lunch, great value for money. We had a very enjoyable New Years Eve. Really pleased this is our local.
The Master Builder – SouthamptonWe only discovered this place about three months ago but have visited seven times now and every time has been great. We’ve been as a couple and parties of six and nine. The food is excellent - even suits a very picky seven-year-old and a messy fourteen-months-old and the menu choices are excellent - and so are the ‘specials’! The beer is well-kept and well-presented Staff are welcoming and well-turned-out in matching sweatshirts with the pub logo. Nothing is too much trouble for them - our grandson (aged 7) has an insatiable appetite for tomato ketchup and required three refills. Another ‘bonus’ is that the local clientele are also friendly and welcoming! I cannot recommend The Master Builder highly enough! If I lived closer this would definitely be my ‘local’ - and I’d probably not go home for meals! Seriously!

Child moved to safer proximity Waitress attentive, welcoming and helpful throughout meal. Food delicious, just like home! Such a nice change from cooking and washing up after! Atmosphere cosy and festive. Live music enhanced whole experience! On behalf of our family thanks so much! We will be back!

The smallest of negativity was that the plates were cold so the food cooled down quickly but thats a minor and easy thing to sort. We will return for a Roast again.

Nostalgia all around, just before the start of the Christmas season, Very considerate staff towards my son who has allergies, They gave us great seats too, Our pup Brutus was super impressed as well. Super starters! Salt and pepper squid Grilled artichokes Nachos with Chilli, jalapenos and Cheese. Massive Mains! Steaks, Fish and Chips, Burgers, Pizzas All so delectable. Super value for money when going out!

Even the punters were friendly, making a great atmosphere. The Devil's Damned String Band played excellent Bluegrass - brilliant musicians. As a real ale fan I found the beer choice very good. The food was good value pub grub.
