We visited the Smokey Cow for a Birthday meal on a Tuesday night, awful service, took 25 minutes for anyone to come take a drinks order, then a further 25 for anyone to take our food order. The place only had 3 other groups in. So massive wait times between ordering and being served for every order We ended up having to go back to the bar multiple times just to ask for starters to be taken away, 30 mins after finishing them. Really expensive drinks charging £4.20 for a appletise. We had the Smokey cow Burger, I assume these burgers were the economy burgers from Spar, really rubbery and had a weird texture, I only eat half and left the rest. Really poor service and really expensive, for low quality food. Won’t be going back again and will tell others to avoid and go somewhere better.

My partner and I came here for tea last night (18/05/24) and we couldn’t fault the place. All the staff were absolutely lovely and the food was amazing! Greeted by staff as soon as we arrived and promptly taken to our table. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles. All food was cooked to perfection and great value for money! Looking forward to our next visit very soon. Would recommend to anyone wanting to go!

Excellent Sunday roast, the brisket was fantastic.

Damn! The food is good.... Heres what I scoffed on my own (amd don't judge me) Starters: 5 buffalo wings + 2 prawn tostados Main: Brisket topped Hot dog and fries Sides: Mac n Cheese baby!! Dessert: Orange sorbet Absolutely fab food. Staff are AmAzInG...very attentive, talkative and dilligent.. a real asset to the pub.

Great meal on Saturday afternoon. Three people dining. Two of us had burgers options and the other had fish and chips from the light bites menu. Portion size was really good especially the light bites meal. Normally you only get a few chips in a mug with burgers but these came with a good helping of chips with the option to upgrade to messy fries if desired. Service was polite and friendly. Nice decor. Will come again.

Great meal - it was huge! Enjoyed it very much. Beers were ‘spot on’ and it’s the first restaurant that I’ve been to in ages where we had a jug of iced lemon water without having to ask. Service was great, setting was lovely, cost was just right - and the sun was shining. Perfect! See you soon.

Party of 9 walkers for lunch. Good cheerful service and just the right menu for lunch. They were happy for us to park up prior to walking. Great to find a pub who understand what hospitality is all about

Attend regularly for Sunday lunch. Fabulous food every time and great value.

We had a fabulous meal last night with our family of 4. Service was friendly, efficient and prompt. The food - brisket, steak and chicken burger- was extremely good. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely venue and great food. Waitress really friendly. Only downside was the food took far too long to arrive. It was fresh and piping hot when it did but the restaurant was empty with only two tables and the food took 90mins to arrive by which time the kids were totally fed up.

Not a great experience, chef walked out and no duty manager was on until later that evening, over a 2 hour wait for food, nearly all meals were cold. The food definitely would of been good if the kitchen wasn't falling apart. Waitresses couldn't of been much better they were fighting a loosing battle and you could see they put 100% in to try and make it work they even ended up cooking.

Amazing food, lovely warm welcome on arrival and waitress was lovely. Only downside was could have done with a little gravy on the Yorkshire as a little dry without but everything else was spot on! :) reasonably priced too and portion sizes were just right. Will definitely return!

Very relaxed environment, great for families. We had Sunday lunch there, the meats were amazing (shame that the brisket had ran out) but we both thought that the veg was a little underdone, only just but it did stop the meal from being really special. I’m sure we’ll be back, hopefully the carrots won’t be as crunchy! :)
