Wow we were very impressed. It's only the second time we have been there. Food was interesting and gorgeous. Everyone was happy . It was my birthday I will be back soon as will my friends. I should say it was awful because now we won't be able to get a booking. Thank you
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenNice lunch in a dog friendly pub with nice views Three of us had delicious pies and one had gammon , also very tasty . Lovely green veg with the pies . The only minor negative was the veg was a little too al dente and very salty . No one likes overdone soggy veg, but this was almost not cooked at all . Other than that it was a lovely lunch and a good choice of non alcoholic beers too . Doggies made to feel very welcome too

I would recommend them for any celebration events and dinner too as afterwards we had their delicious spicey pumpkin soup!

The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenThe food and service were excellent. I know it was Wednesday lunch time and the pub hadn't been open since Sunday evening, but there was no heating on and there was a draft coming in through the back doors. No good for old folks.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenSat by the window but unfortunately due to horrendous weather didn't have a good view which I am sure would be stunning on a sunny day .We had the salmon fillet with cabbage and hassleback potatoes. I can't remember what the sauce ,was but it was delicious ( wish I knew recipe) Sticky toffee pudding and ice-cream for pudding ,delicious too.It was a bit of a trek up the narrow roads that we were not sure we were going in right direction but after a chat to some folk we were assured we were heading the right way ,just a little further .Well worth the effort.Bravo
