The Glasshouse – Wadebridgewell, well, well, what a fabulous gem this is....amazing views, great decor, unbelievably fantastic mussels......if you haven't been, you need to! i will be telling all my friends..........
Blue Tomato Cafe – WadebridgeOur first ever time to Rock yesterday...and I must say the last. If the Blue tomato cafe is representative of Rock then it quite obviously has so much wealth it can afford to be rude and ignorant to its visitors. We turned up at the cafe at around 1:50pm, there was not any opening times apparent on the door. Our order was politely taken and promptly served too. The food was very good. What was appalling was that each member of staff was not talking but almost shouting, whistling almost deafeningly loud and discussing how awful Jane MacDonald is. We were the only customers and made to feel very unwelcome, it felt as if we were sat in the kitchen during staff lunch time. How do the staff know we were not related to Jane MacDonald?
Blue Tomato Cafe – Wadebridge"I think I'll have a smoothie and a mortgage!" commented my friend as he read the menu in the Blue Tomato Cafe. I was absolutely taken back with the ridiculous prices that this cafe has the audacity to charge. Nachos are £8 and scrambled eggs and salmon will set you back more than £10. The table was so sticky that the newspaper stuck to it and the annoying staff spent most of their time flirting with each other or whistling. On the other hand the lemon drizzle cake was gorgeous and I have to say the cafe has very tasteful decor. Unfortunately, i don't think I will be returning here again.
Blue Tomato Cafe – WadebridgeHaving arrived in Rock early one Saturday morning with my good lady wife and the dog, a cappuccino was in order. The waitress was attentive and friendly and the coffee was agreeable. The only thing that left a bad taste was the price - £3.25 each for a regular (not large mind) coffee was not steep but positively precipitous. And we come from Barnes the coffee village of south west London.
Blue Tomato Cafe – WadebridgeSunday Carvery outstanding, using local produce. Staff all very friendly and welcoming. Puddings to die for. Well Done I wish I lived nearer and could pop in every week. Thank you for looking after the whole family.
Maltsters Arms – WadebridgeFive of us and the dog mostly enjoyed our afternoon at this lovely cafe in Rock. Our waitress was charming and the whole experience was what we were looking for after a day on the beach with a choice of great food for everyone. The only blot on the landscape was the pernicious manageress sat inside in the corner making totally inappropriate comments about her waiting staff. I would NOT revisit this cafe if I knew she was going to be there as I find it unacceptable behaviour to cause an atmosphere of fear in your staff that obvious. We were sat outside and we could still hear her.
Blue Tomato Cafe – WadebridgeOne word Fantastic!! they did everything they could even arranging flowers and ordering fresh lobster Thankyou!!
Maltsters Arms – Wadebridgefantastic food and excellent service. A jewel on the camel!
The Pickwick Inn and Restaurant – WadebridgeSome of the dishes are better then others and the level of service/attitude varied. I wouldn't go back in a hurry, although that's difficult as it's the only curry house in the area.
Bash Baagan – WadebridgeThe prices were a bit high but the food was brilliant and up to the standard i expected. The waitresses made me feel welcomed and the quality of wine and food was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone who is staying around this area.
Blue Tomato Cafe – WadebridgeVery good food, plenty of choice and selection always a lengthy process as everything sounds so wonderful. This is a Pub though and it's prices are rather high so it's a treat rather than your usual Pub meal out.
Maltsters Arms – WadebridgeRecommended by a friend and Boy what a find. Fab menu with plenty of local produce and fresh fish, ate here three times in the week we were in the area and will definitely return. Wonderful food, great service, can't wait to return:)
Maltsters Arms – WadebridgeWhen you turn up at this restaurant, you think that this cannot be the place that you have heard is well worth a visit. In fact you even start thinking of excuses of why you must leave! But ... when the food starts coming out, you are thankful that you stayed. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and it is amongst the best that we have ever had. Every dish was a delight and we kept laughing at all the noises of enjoyment coming from fellow diners on the next table. We will make the Journeyman a regular visit to try all the dishes.
Journeyman Restaurant – WadebridgeWhat a fantastic place to go!! Thank god the new owners know how to be landlords and members of the community well done Gary and Jane. The decor has been transformed and so has the atmosphere no longer shoved up in the family room everyone is made welcome, the place has moved up leaps and bonds and returned to its former glory!! I will return every time I visit no need to shop lol..
Maltsters Arms – WadebridgeWow Just go here, The restaurant advertises itself as being unique in Cornwall but having travelled a lot it's pretty unique in the UK if not the World! The only place I've been that comes anywhere near here is Cafe Deco in Hong Kong, A great concept, excellent setting with exceptional food, will definitely be going back. Dave
Journeyman Restaurant – Wadebridgean average place. fun and good
Granary The – WadebridgeJust happened across the restaurant on a drive, what a find! This place is right up there with The Seafood restaurant in my opinion but at a fraction of the cost. Tandoori yuk sung (the chef's own invention) was delicious as were the mains of chicken achari and nepalese lamb. Very friendly, great atmosphere and what a setting! Thanks for a great night.
