Helpful staff and that's a high point of place. Manager is lovely and was flexible about the table. Good beer fairly priced. Very busy but food arrived in fair time. But food was hit and miss from a bland menu. Overpriced when you compare pub is weatherspoons quality but 40 % more expensive . But good atmosphere and we enjoyed the night. Alcohol helped us over the mediocre food. Could do better.

I had long anticipated visiting Sgwar and finally had the opportunity to do so on Saturday. Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome and was able to enjoy a drink by a cozy fire while awaiting the rest of my party. The cuisine was exceptional and offered excellent value. I would highly recommend this establishment to others and eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Myself and 2 friends came for a meal last week, we're locals. The food was amazing! The staff were very informative and the setting cosy. The 3 of us agreed that it was the best meal we'd had in a quite a while! We had 3 courses and our plates for the 3 meals were clean! Very highly recommended!

We had the most lovely roast dinner on Sunday , lamb and pork with all the trimmings and the most tasty sticky toffee pudding to finish , it was really good value for money and friendly and welcoming staff , would definitely recommend !
