I've been to The Olive Tree a number of times since it opened. It started well and it's got better. I had Moules Frites yesterday, others had the Ling and Bouillabaisse and the Steak Frites. Mine scored an excellent 10 /10. The sauce for the modules was fantastic and there was a pleasing amount of bread to mop it up! Super thin fried were lovely. The Bouillabaisse was fab. Don't expect the steak to be that large, but the point of this restaurant is providing excellent value-for-money food, cooked to a high standard. The puddings were all fab but my Bread and butter pudding with marmalade ice cream was just stunning. A nod also goes to the lovely staff who never fail to be welcoming and professional. Couldn’t fault a thing. We visit The Olive Tree often and are never disappointed. We are so lucky to have this lovely restaurant in Wells.

Great food & service. And what feels like private dining in a modern restaurant on the ground floor of an old Wells townhouse.

We had a lovely meal recently at 7B. My starter of salmon sashimi was really succulent and tasty. My main of duck confit was equally good, with great flavour. Although I didn’t have a dessert, my husband enjoyed his caramelised apple and ice cream. Great food, service and atmosphere.

Our lunch for three yesterday was an Anniversary celebration and we enjoyed a superb three course meal. Excellent service, generous portions, beautifully cooked and presented. The accompanying wines were much appreciated which all made for a memorable occasion. Thank you Martine and Adam.

Had a Sunday lunch. Nicely cooked. Could have been more generous. Service was slow today.

Phenomenal. Amazing flavours, everything cooked fresh and to absolute perfection. Both kitchen and front of house work together to provide the warmest welcomes, delicious food and the very best recommendations on drinks to accompany what you’re eating. Such a treat.

Our favourite Wells restaurant. Every dish we have eaten at The Olive Tree has been exceptional. Considering the quality the menu is not highly priced. The staff are professional and helpful.

Excellent meals at Goodfellows yesterday enjoyed by all in our party of three. Service, as ever, was first class and the food was delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Well, that was lovely! Not been to Goodfellows before, but we'll definitely go again. Excellent food and attentive service. (I was driving, so no opinion on wine.) Nice surroundings and good location.

7b never fails to disappoint. From start to finish the menu is delicious, which is why we go there time and time again and have been doing so for many years, taking friends or recommending it to fellow foodies

We enjoyed a great meal as previous.

4 of us, 1st visit on 28/02/24. We had the mussels, chicken Kiev x 2, & the steak. Desserts: chocolate tart and the brioche bread & butter pudding. Both desserts served with ice cream: marmalade or hazelnut. All hot food was hot and delicious. Scoops of ice cream could have been more generous.

Another fantastic meal! I'm so glad that we found this wonderful little restaurant, fantastic fine dining. You know that you can order anything from the menu and it will be absolutely delicious, even if you venture for something you haven't tried before. An absolute must if you're visiting Wells and looking for a really great dining experience.

Our lunch at 7b was a perfect outing for Valentine’s Day. There were interesting choices on the menu and our food was beautifully cooked. We both made good choices but I don’t think there were bad ones available! The whole experience was complimented by the thoughtful service. Thank you!
