Cosmo – SwindonThe food and service were good, no pressure to 'eat up'! The play area could be updated a bit or expanded for children however I would recommend this to friends.
The Wiltshire Yeoman – TrowbridgeWould just like to say that I along with 29 other golfers from Southampton came to your pub on Friday 13th May. The entertainment was a single lady that sang a number of songs from different decades. Very tongue in cheek, but she was brilliant. She got the whole pub going and we had a great time. Hope the young barmaid did not feel to intimidated by a large group of loud men. Many thanks for a great night.
Curriers Arms – Swindongreat find!! very warm welcome and friendly staff. great menu changes every two weeks and focuses on seasonal produce.
Plough Inn The – Bradford-on-AvonI visit this pub/restaurant regularly even though I have a fifteen minute drive to get to it. The meals are terrific value and the staff I have found not to be only very helpful but cheerful despite sometimes being rushed off their feet. In actual fact my wife and myself are off there again this lunchtime.I drive there and I manage to have a few drinks and she always has to drive home.......sneaky eh!!
Mill House – ChippenhamLast evening myself and three others, visited Rafu's in Shrivenham. The service was unbelievable. It was the best Indian meal, that I have had in many years, and I consider myself to be a connoisseur of Indian food. I am normally a Lamb man,( Phall). However for a change I thought that I would try a chicken dish. Garlic, Ginger, Chilli, Chicken is what I chose, for the flavours that this dish involves, I was not disappointed, it was absolutely Fabulous! The Chicken was ot of this World and so were the flavours. Every dish that we ordered was too much, Poppadoms, the pickle tray and the Raita, was the best. My starter of Onion Bhaji, I expected, what you get, normally 2, I got 4! The service was exceptional. I would not be surprised if this wasn't the best experience, that I've had in an Indian Restaurant, during my whole life,(I am 57). I have visited hundreds in England and Scotland and all over the World.
Rafu’s Tandoori – SwindonThis is superb. We've tried the evening menu and the Sunday buffet and each time the food has been wonderful. They have the freshest, softest fluffy nan breads and the most delicious Dhansak I've ever had. Each dish is fresh, clean and delicious. Indian cooking at it's best. And it's refreshing to see some different and unusual dishes included in the buffet instead of the usual run of the mill selection. The decor is wonderfully quirky too- check out the ladies rest room!
Raj Indian Restaurant – Marlboroughjust had sunday lunch.Excellent!!!
Wellesley Arms – ChippenhamThe Jade tiger is wootton bassetts best kept secret. The food is very light, with well balanced oriental flavours. Jackie the Chef is talented and his signature dishes are to die for. Try the Drunken Fish!
Jade Tiger Oriental Restaurant – Swindonthe harvester in drove rd is always a good meal with excellent staff service, a great place to catchup with friends over lunch or anytime now as the deals they have all day.
Grove – Harvester – SwindonThe Fortune inn is a fantastic chinese/pub. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I have eaten here several times and each time has been as good as the other.
Fortune Inn – ChippenhamI am disgusted and embarrassed by the treatment received at this restaurant. We went there the day after mother's day. My partner had gammon and ham and I had penne and mushrooms wrapped in cream! The gammon, well, the pineapple his a very small round, mostly fat! The mushroom pasta..... I cannot understand how it was allowed out of the kitchen. The pasta and mushrooms were SWIMMING in what appeared and tasted like TINNED mushroom soup. It was almost impossible to eat with a fork. Had to pierce each separate piece of pasta and try to get it to my mouth without it splashing off. I hate complaining but told the waitress who replied, "well, not sure what you expect me to do about it". I was then totally embarrassed and wish I had just walked out. She then added "shall I get you a SPOON?!!!!" She was right though as that was the only way it could be eaten. There was also no sign of the Parmesan shavings that should have been on it. When I paid told the waitress to take remainder out to cook to show him how awful it was. We still had to pay. I cannot understand why the manager didn't sort this out and have a word with us. NOTHING. They were not interested. You can pass my email onto the hotel.
Lansdowne Strand Hotel – CalneWaited ages for food that was very greasy even though only two other couples were in. Polish waitress was very rude. Would not recommend a visit.
Indigo Palace – MarlboroughGreat food, wine and service! Highly recommend it to all my friends!
Godots Bar Brasserie – MarlboroughYes I am lucky to work next door to Jade Tiger, its our unofficial works canteen! Fab food, not padded out with loads of green peppers like many chinese restaurants do. Jackie and Michelle are lovely caring people who want you to enjoy their food. If you like chinese then you'll love eating here.
Jade Tiger Oriental Restaurant – SwindonThis pub serves excellent food, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The landlord tells terrible jokes, but looks after you well. The selection of wines is impressive for a pub, and the real ales are kept in top notch condition.
Hare and Hounds – CorshamThe worst Christmas meal I have ever had. First of all the wrong wine came to the table. The main meal was minimal, no effort made, poor presentation and one potato and just peas for veg. The Christmas pudding was stone cold was not even heated up. My other guest had roast beef for main meal and that was grizzly and undercooked. I would definitely not recommend anyone to eat there.
Kembrey Inn – Swindonin the area so visited for the pub for a drink and decided to try the buffet that says eat all you can. this was a few meals served to the table and no buffet in sight. very very poor. dont use this restaurant and it was freezing
Indigo Palace – Marlborough
