Very good Sunday Lunch with decent cutlery and cloth napkins. I will be going again.

Had an excellent meal here on Tuesday lunchtime. The restaurant was pretty full which is surprising for a weekday lunchtime but maybe not so much because La Flambé offers a very good value set menu with plenty of options, generous portions and delicious food. The service was attentive and friendly. Can’t really fault it. Highly recommend.

Just got back from a brilliant Sunday roast. We had the beef and pork, both of which were absolutely delicious and perfectly tender. We also brought our two dogs along, and the staff were so welcoming towards them. They even brought out a little tray of meat scraps for the dogs, which was such a lovely touch! For pudding, we had the Galaxy cheesecake, which was absolutely lush. Overall, a fantastic meal, lovely staff and a really welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back again!

We have just had a delicious Sunday lunch. The food was outstanding, ample and beautifully served. The service was friendly, cheerful and efficient. Having read the reviews, we went with high expectations - they were exceeded! A wonderful discovery which we thoroughly recommend! Christopher.

We had a lovely time yesterday. Sunday lunch was very tasty and plenty of it. Loved the extra gravy dish if we needed more. The galaxy cheesecake was to die for. The service was excellent. Didn't have to wait long for the food. Friendly staff. Definitely going back again.

We visited on Sunday and enjoyed a beautifully cooked roast lunch. Highly recommend the beef and pork! The food was delicious, a very good size and the staff looked after us. Well worth a visit!

We visited the Freke Arms on 20th August in the evening. We received a warm welcome from the staff and service was very good. We all enjoyed our various meals and there was no problem with my dietary requirements as a coeliac. We shall certainly be returning before too long.

Only comment I would make and I have found the same problem elsewhere is that the table was a bit sticky

Lovely meal at the Freke, we are glad it reopened. I had a 3 course of Tempura Prawns with a sweet chilli dip, Chicken Schnitzel and a Galaxy Cheesecake to finish. My wife had the fish and chips (we knew the fish would be good as it is from New Wave) and finished with the Creme Brulee. Excellent food, fairly priced and service was excellent. The young girl who was serving us was her first night, she was polite and did a great job. Tipped at the end and overall an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommend and we will book again.

Lovely food, friendly and efficient service, and very good prices. We had Summer Menu, lots too choose from.

Very enjoyable meal last Saturday evening 15 August we chose the Haddock very nice indeed the only thing missing was that we had to ask for Tartare sauce, but we come again soon

very nice young staff. The steak was not best quality rather chewy and over priced. The rest of our food was good but presentation was not the best needs some improvement.We will return and give it a second chance Overall very nice place just a few adjustments needed..

Hadn't been to the Freke for a while, had seen it had reopened so went to celebrate my husband's birthday. We weren't disappointed. Starter's were lovely, if a tad large for me , prawns in a tempura batter. Sea bass melted in my mouth and hubby's schnitzel was huge ! Rounded off with ice cream for him and lemon roulade for myself . Absolutely stuffed ! Couldn't fault the staff either

Our first visit since updated. Decor lovely and bright, not sitting on top of other diners. Nice welcome on entering, lovely young lady took order from an excellent menu. Food was delicious. We will be back !!!!

A excellent meal, generous portions, beautifully presented and good value. The Staff were all amazing. So full after having our meal we had to miss out on the dessert menu! Highly recommend; we are incredibly lucky to have such a great restaurant on our doorstep!

First time back since new owners. Very nice atmosphere. Food was delicious, a bit disappointed with the amount of vegetables.
