Lovely restaurant, best Chinese food in Yorkshire and very friendly staff

Lovely meal as usual. Service great

So it was my first time at Oscar’s and I chose to go for a Graduation Meal with my whole family so it was a special occasion for us as I was the class of 2020. After the girl taking the order read back my order twice and even said congratulations, my food came wrong. So whilst my whole family were eating, and had even finished, mine still hadn’t come. At least mine was knocked off the bill but I don’t think I’d be coming back anytime soon.

Excellent service, fantastic atmosphere and delicious food

We visited on a Sunday for dim sum. This is a little bit of Hong Kong. The dim sum was very good and the service was efficient.

Becoming a bit of of a regular on visits to York. Excellent food. Not been disappointed yet.

As usual our meal at Maxis York was delishious. We have never been disappointed. We always order too much, but they pack it up and we enjoy the left overs the next day. The staff are lovely. Wouldnt change anything .

Customer service was amazing the young girl who served us was really pleasant . The food was delicious . Overall we all enjoyed ourselves

Visited for my Dads Birthday lunch. General atmosphere is pleasant and staff polite and helpful but the food just took too long to come out. For this reason it would put me off returning. After arriving at 1230 it was almost 155pm before our main courses arrived. I don't think we were alone looking at the disgruntled faces on some of our fellow dinners. Food is standard pub food fare which was fine but please sort out the service.

Disappointing,meat in dishes chewy, noodles like rubber,have been going to Maxi's for many years but won't be going again

Easiest review to write - we love Maxi’s in York. We found Maxi’s when we were staying on our first of many trips. We try to visit at least once a year or more if we can. The food is amazing and we have never been disappointed. The staff are lovely and friendly and the service is very attentive. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere . We have used Maxi’s take away service too which is also excellent. Choose Maxi’s.

Went for the lunch special. Excellent value for money. The staff were attentive and they all wore masks which I found reassuring. Will be visiting again soon.
