Commercial Inn Giant Plates

Very nice pub with a friendly atmosphere. The food is nice and they have a good selection of drinks. They also have most sporting events showing on one of the many televisions scattered around the pub including one in the outside covered smoking shed. There is also a nice garden with childrens play area. Quiz night is on Tuesday. i would recommend it to anyone and would give it 8/10. :)
Ship Inn

We booked a table at The Ship for it's opening night (May 3 2008)The only thing to say was excellent. The food is all locally produced and cooked by the new chef Gareth and his team. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and you can watch the chefs preparing your meal. The staff are attentive and really look after you. If you are in the area it's worth phoning to make a booking, if your not in the area, it's still worth travelling. Highly recommended

the Ship Inn Llangrannog is now under new ownership (2008), and I can highly recommend their food. It is all local produce and all freshly cooked even the bread is made on the premises everyday. It is top quality for taste, and for service the owners and staff are all very friendly and very welcoming. This is not PUB food.

Fantastic food and I would highly recommend this place whether it is for a sit in or take away meal. The decor was very outdated but they have just redecorated. Good value for money and large amounts of food
Travellers Rest, The

Love The Travellers Rest
the travellers rest in manmoel is superb! Meryl and julian are the perfect hosts and the food is second to none. Sunday lunch gravy is like your grandmother would make, brilliant. The surroundings are beautiful as well.
Hardwick, The

I have visited the Hardwick several times over the past few months and every time has been better than the last. The food is outstanding and an evident sing of a truly talented chef. The restaurant is warm and cosy and the staff are very accommodating and polite. All in all a very positive experience

Had Sunday lunch there on 27/04/08. Excellent lunch! Three of us went & the three different meals were faultless from starters to desert. A pleasure to eat there. The restaurant is smart & in a beautiful location right on the side of the River Cothi. If there was a very minor niggle, it would be about making sure people could find the front door easier! :)

Very friendly, excellent service and fantastic fresh food
Bellinis

I have to disagree with Pink's views. The service was at best patchy and the food, apart from the steak was poor. Even the steak was not cooked to order It was saved by the fact that is was very good despite that. A disappointing night!
Honour Garden

Newports Brightest Local News And Sport Website
Outstanding little restaurant and take-away. Food is absolutely brilliant and is the best in Newport. I have been a customer for 15 years and would always go there rather than anywhere else in Newport. The Honour Garden has evolved from a basic takeaway into a really plush and beautiful experience with excellent prices too. If you have not tried it, get there quick. This is NOT the boss but a customer without any prompting either.
