I would definitely recommend this pub for food to anyone. I ordered the steak and ale pie and my partner thought they were bringing me a rugby ball that's how big it was. Their portions are very generous so i wouldn't recommend having a starter as i did. I was full to the next day. Wow what a meal. Service was great too.

Visited this venue for an evening meal as I had heard that it had just been voted runner up in the Swansea and Port Talbot Evening Post best Pub food competition. I can really see why this pub was voted so highly as the food was exceptional. The cost was £9.99 for two meals which included Welsh black steak, which was cooked on a barbecue grill, even though the price was £9.99 for two meals no corners were cut and we still had full plates which included fresh salad, onion rings, mushrooms and peas and real chips. The special board also looked very good and we were spoilt for choice. The menus which were placed on the table informed us that all the food is locally sourced and the fresh cream was exceptional. This is sourced from a farm locally which won the prestigious prise of being the best cream at Buith Wells show. Exceptional food which is priced very reasonable. Will have to return to try the other tempting meals such was Cymru Chicken, Steak in blue cheese sauce. Chicken in mushroom and garlic sauce. Excellent service, Excellent choice. will definitely return.

Fabulous meal in a great atmosphere! Nige Jones and his team made my wife and I feel welcome straight away. The food was an absolute treat, scallops to start, ribeye for main and a chocolate trio to finish....devine! Good value too.

Lovely food in a really relaxed friendly environment. Great to see local produce cooked really well in an imaginative and inspiring way. Rarely eat 3 courses, but had to try as much as possible from the menu as it all sounded (and was) wonderful. Good variety of inexpensive wines to choose from. Loved it so much, taking the family back for Sunday brunch.

wonderful restaurant, within the village of skewen.. easy to get to and food is very tasty and of a high standard. if you thought you liked Indian then you haven't tried anything yet! superb

My husband and I had lunch on the terrace here on Monday, 2/8/10. The crab linguine was delicious, and so was the whole plaice. Lovely olives.

Good food lots of daily specials steaks and fish always good

I live 40 miles from fontygary, if they delivered i would order it ever week for life its that good. Indian food as it should be. My husband always wants to go to Rajkinara..
