Lovely food and atmosphere and not rushed which was great as we were a party of four having a catch up. Will certainly visit again and recommend.

Fabulous food, location and staff.

Sadly the arrival greeting we received did not match the standard of the food at all . Disappointing as on reserving I mentioned my daughter’s birthday and first visit to eat here and no mention at all of it. We felt as if we were an inconvenience to be honest and the restaurant wasn’t even full and we were there at 12.15. Very sad as we like the venue and the food but the waiting staff need training in welcoming which is so important at the arrival as it is part of the whole experience .

We met two Dutch friends for lunch at the Olive Tree last Sunday. The whole occasion was great - the food was good and we couldn't believe the reasonable pricing. The staff were friendly with smooth efficient service. We will be back when we visit Wells but can highly recommend the Olive Tree to anyone visiting.

Three of us enjoyed a pleasant lunch here on Thursday. The menu offers a good choice of delicious food and the service is friendly and efficient. This is the third time I have eaten at The Olive Tree and I will return without question when next in Wells.

All the friends I brought here were delighted. With the exceptional quality of the food and the inviting ambiance, this is exactly the type of place we want to see more of in Somerset. I truly hope this restaurant will offer dinner options in the future and expand with additional locations.

Another enjoyable meal at Perdida. The Malaysian Poke bowl was delicious as were the quiche, falafel and mezze. Everyone was impressed with the quality if the food.

Visited on a special menu night held on a Friday evening. Food was faultless, the service friendly and warm, and the atmosphere of this beautiful little pub was the real highlight! Gorgeous inside and out with plenty of places of choice to sit and enjoy - all set next to a little river. We tried Salmon, Steam and lamb chops, all were fantastic. Thanks again!

Visited for breakfast - truly amazing. Great environment, lots of parking and dog friendly too . The food was amazing - lots to choose from. Very busy so do book ahead Staff incredibly friendly and engaging. Will be revisiting. Highly recommend

I have visited The Olive many times but always lunch time this was a brunch visit. Busy as always good sign however I really do think you need more staff the two poor girls were struggling to cope I don’t mind waiting a certain amount of time as I know the food is cooked from scratch but the waiting time was unexceptionable and a disappointment I think I will stick to lunch visits.

Five of us had dinner on a Saturday night. My meal was outstanding--one of the best I've had here in Wells. (I had the cauliflower tart.) Dessert was also superb. I was very satisfied with my meal. However, I will say the service was a bit chaotic. It seemed like maybe new hires were being trained for the summer and communication was not working well. But I trust those issues will be ironed out.

Had a full English breakfast with friends and our pup. The breakfast was freshly cooked, beautifully presented and thoroughly enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly as was the staff who were efficient as well. We shall return.

As a treat for my wife on her birthday I took her sister and a friend to have an afternoon tea, we all enjoyed the tea and the way it was served to us was very nice and we enjoyed the food I would recommend this to anyone who wanted something different from the normal plated meal
