The Last Inn – NewportExcellent food and service. Always superb quality. Some new staff are clearly still being trained but that is understandable in hospitality, and they were all very polite and pleasant. This is the best country pub serving wonderful food in the area. We eat here regularly now and are never disappointed.
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportThe food and service were excellent.
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportGood food, good setting . Generous portions and very efficient staff.
The Last Inn – NewportWow what a fantastic Sunday Lunch! Amazing value. 2 or 3 courses and extras including a huge cauliflower cheese! What a lovely way to while away a beautiful Sunday afternoon in a lovely country setting! Great service too! 7 hour beef brisket was heavenly and huge portions served piping hot! Well done! We will be back!
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportGreat service, slightly disappointed with the quality of what we ordered, I think with all the great reviews my expectation was high and I felt the food was average but still enjoyable.
The Last Inn – NewportWe visited for Sunday lunch and were really looking forward as had never been but had saw the Facebook page and the food looked lovely. The food was lovely however the service was not! The staff didn’t even know what they were serving- when asking the details on soup/pate they didn’t know the flavours and just called it ‘normal’ pate and soup…? Glasses wernt being cleared, no checking in to see if everything was okay! It just wasn’t up to a normal standard you would expect even in a pub! As a I said the food was lovely but the service really let it down therefore I probably wouldn’t go back unfortunately!
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportMy new favourite restaurant by far. The most delicious and plentiful roast dinner I’ve ever had. Service was prompt and very good and the surroundings very beautifully decorated. Great garden too.
The Last Inn – NewportFriday lunchtime visit for my wife and I.Calamares and whitebait starters at £7 and £6.The calamares was under cooked and in soggy batter.Only seven pieces so £1 each ! Whitebait was overcooked and again only 8 off them. Mains were a stake and ale pie and fish and chips. The pie was molten hot and couldn't be touched for 10 minutes. When it could be touched it was so full of salt it was almost inedible. The fish was clearly not purchased fresh and battered in the kitchen.Something tastier could be purchased in any super market. In short poor and overpriced. We won't be returning.
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportThe pie was properly home-made and packed with lovely well cooked steak. The chips were very nice as well. Service was excellent. Definitely will go again
The Last Inn – NewportBest Thai in South Wales. We travel from Port Talbot to eat here quite regularly! Consistently excellent food. The Thai curry dishes are superb.
Bangkok Cafe – CardiffHave eaten here a few times and it is always consistently great. Lovely Sunday lunch, best in the area. Really good steaks and efficient, friendly service.
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportAnother excellent meal at The Last Inn in Newport. Took some friends with us who said they definitely want to go again.
The Last Inn – NewportService was fantastic, food came quickly and was very tasty. Great playlist! 10/10 experience.
Bangkok Cafe – CardiffBooked in for 3 people for lunch on a Sunday. When we arrived we didn't realise that we weren't able to chose from the normal menu on Sunday, as I couldn't find anything on the website that said this. So we all had roast dinners in the end, which we did throughly enjoy. Good portion sizes so were all stuffed after having dessert as well. The new salted caramel cheesecake was wonderful - creamy and not too sickly. The staff were so friendly and attentive and overall made for a really lovely experience. Would come again, but maybe on a different day to try out the normal menu. Only downside was that it would have been useful to have the fact that the normal menu isn't available on Sundays clearly stated on the website.
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportExcellent food and service. Clearly a competant kitchen team serving wonderful homemade dishes with flair. New waitress needed some guidance from the owner when we visited, but that is undertsandable. Highly recommend.
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportDelicious food, friendly service. Good wine selection and well kept cellar as the Guiness & Doombar were clearly very popular. Good atmosphere. Excellent country pub.
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportDidn’t think there was a lot of choice on the evening menu
