Excellent food, well cooked, with a good choice available. Service polite and professional. We booked a table for 8 and The Last Inn works really well for us in this respect as we can all hear our conversations due to the room layout and the fact that it isn't too noisy. Top marks also for simply being kind and patient!

We have been here several times recently and never been disappointed, but last night on my birthday was an exception. No ale, ordered another beer but that was also out. No dessert\coffee combos. Pork belly main course still v good, but burger's chips not so. Just hope this was a one-off bad night because we are going again next month.

We had the Sunday roast. There was a good amount of meat and it was tasty, to be fair. One change I'd make would be for them to bring gravy separately ... the food came with a pool of gravy, just all a big brown slop. It would be good for people to put their own on. Mint sauce serving was tiny and veg serving for two people wasn't enough I wouldn't pay £13 odd for this again. Maybe £10 ... I would go back and try a different meal

We had a lovely Sunday roast dinner yesterday. The restaurant was quiet but the young lady who served us had an excellent, friendly & professional manner. She was very attentive at all times. The food was beautiful, hot & proper home cooked style. We will definitely visit again. The only negative we had was that the car park had big pot holes that needed filling in & a light on the car park would help at night!

After 2 really nice experiences we were both extremely 'underwhelmed ' by our last visit. Starters were OK but the seafood basket was extremely oily and greasy and over battered,almost as though it had been put back in to reheat. The dessert menu was lacking some of the choices. Not a good experience.

Lovely food! Best Macaroni cheese! Absolutely enjoyed my meal here, staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. A great relaxing, chilled out atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Couldn’t fault this restaurant. Front of house staff were delightful and food was faultless.

Food is excellent and in fussy, well priced. Nice staff. Big pot hole on the car park entry caused damage to my car, wish they would just fill it in. It was the same on my last visit. Car park aside, well worth a visit for traditional good food.

We booked a table for 5 people for 14.00 on New Year's Day with no problem. We were just meeting some family for a drink - not eating - which we assumed was not a problem as it doesn't say that you have to eat. We had a lovely welcome and were then shown to our table, given menus and when we informed them that we only wanted a drink we were told that was fine. However, about an hour later we were told we had to be out by 16.00 and we were rushed off our table at 15.45. The card machine was just bought to the table and then our drinks cleared before we had even finished them/left the table. The pub was not busy, we were 1 of 2 tables in the bar area! The experience started off very pleasant but we were made to feel very unwelcome because we weren't eating. I completely understand when tables have a time restriction due to being booked but we were not informed of this at any stage of our booking or when we were shown to our table which led us to think our business was not good enough for them. If you only want eaters you should mention this on your booking page.

Never fails to impress. Fantastic service, absolutely lovely food and plenty of it. Took my brother here as he had visited all the way from Surrey so he was starving. He enjoyed every mouthful. Chap in charge was really friendly and welcoming. We will return, its always a lovely place to eat and very convenient for us locals.

Visited on 23rd and had the xmas farye menu, which was excellent. I had been a few weeks prior and also that was excellent as well as being a regular overall The food is outstanding and imo the best in the area. And there are some pretty good places around here but the menu here is easy , works well and presentation is always excellent. Portions are very generous Staff are lovely and service is spot on. They kindly did a dog bag for our digby who says it was lovely. thanks for a lovely afternoon

Haven't been for some time - and service is better than ever. Food was excellent, plenty of it also and all came together. Good atmosphere and will definitely be going back soon.

Had a great experience prior to our visit as my contact was really helpful. Unfortunately, when we got there it went rapidly downhill. We had pre-booked & pre-paid for our meal. We arrived at 7.30pm. We were told that they were running behind and our food wouldn't arrive until 7.50pm. By 8.15pm 2 starters came out but it wasn't anything our table had ordered. Then a member of staff came to say that our order was for 20 people (we were a party of 8!) & they didn't know exactly what we had ordered. We had to tell them again what we pre-ordered and by 8.30pm we finally got our starters. Our mains arrived at 9.30pm (2 hours after we'd got there!). Our desserts arrived at about 10pm. We asked for our bill & all of the food & drink was on there so I had to tell them that we'd pre-paid for the whole meal so they re-did the bill. They did take £20 off the bill which is the least they could have done. The food was absolutely delicious & it was a very reasonable price but this is the 2nd time we've been & the service has been dreadful so, unfortunately, we won't be going back again.

Three of us had the Christmas fayre at the Last last night- full of flavour and excellent value. Gorgeous food, great atmosphere and super service. Thanks guys, we had a great evening.

Visited twice in the last week .Food was great ,staff very friendly really enjoyed both visits .would definitely go there again

Rather good . Food was very nicely cooked and the winter veg was particularly welcome . We were given a quiet corner as one of us has hearing difficulty. Surroundings a little austere perhaps but comfortable, and the table height was good. The staff were busy but reasonably attentive and checked that we were happy with the dishes. Pretty good value all in all and I was given g.f. gravy as needed . We will be returning very soon.

We visit The Last Inn on a regular basis as the food the service and atmosphere cannot be beaten anywhere in Shropshire! We visited for Sunday lunch the food was beyond delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful no matter how busy they ensure every customer has everything they need and want! No matter when you visit you will never be disappointed we cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!
