We visit The Last Inn on a regular basis as the food the service and atmosphere cannot be beaten anywhere in Shropshire! We visited for Sunday lunch the food was beyond delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful no matter how busy they ensure every customer has everything they need and want! No matter when you visit you will never be disappointed we cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

Amazing roast dinner, the best I have ever had

My husband and I recently booked the 2 course meal and comedy night. It was really good value for money, food was good and we really enjoyed the entertainment. Would definitely recommend.

Came to the comedy night which was great , food was good . Only negative was the late start on the entertainment not necessarily to wait for people to finish eating in my opinion . I have regularly visited the glee club and food is served during the show . Stick to the time you advertised if people are late that should not delay things .

The venue was perfect, a room for the family, safer in covid . The manageress was fantastic, very helpful. There were 17 of us so not easy to accommodate but was done beautifully. The food was great , my fishcakes were amazing, lamb shank nicely cooked , plus cheese and biscuits made me completely full . All staff were fab , brilliant Christmas menu . Definitely booking next year xxx

Had a lovely Christmas meal here on Saturday. Food was well presented, hot and well flavoured. Service was a little on the slow side, but as we were there for the night it was actually nice not to be rushed through courses. There were a couple of tables who were a bit on the loud side, but the staff moved one of them and the others left shortly after. Unfortunately one of the tables didn’t take to being told to keep the volume down well and were extremely rude and confrontational to the staff, which is a shame. We’ve eaten here many times and always find it good value and tasty. Will visit again.

My wife, daughter and I had a delicious meal here. The steak and ale pie was fantastic, and my daughter’s chicken burger was huge (and tasty)! There was plenty to eat and the quality was very good. The pub looked welcoming inside and the staff were very friendly. It was reasonably quiet when we arrived at 6:30pm, but by the time we had finished our meal it had become very busy for a Tuesday evening - I think they had a pub quiz on. That caused the service to slow down a bit so it took a little while to get the bill. Otherwise though, a wonderful meal.

We recently visited as a large group for Sunday lunch, the food as always was gorgeous, our only gripe was the wait between courses, around 30 minutes, which was too long with young children in our group. They just needed a few more staff serving, it won't stop us visiting again though.

Had a lovely Sunday dinner really enjoyed it. Friendly quick service and a great atmosphere - will be going back!

Usually good food but two parsnips and carrot with my pie left me underwhelmed in terms of value for money. Had to ask for a drink even though three members of staff stood chatting at the bar. Menu is also rather limited.

The food was nice when it came, but service was slow. Empty starter plates were sat in front of us for a long time after finished, they then brought the mains whilst the empty starters were still in front of us… empty main plates also sat in front of us for a long time…

A meal for family of 12 first rang us on the day a hour and half before meal to change our time because “Xmas party was coming in” we booked this meal at beginnIng of the month and went end of November Freezing cold inside had to sit at table with our coats on Starters- fish cakes tasted like soil with no fish in the fish cake (3 people from the family had this and said the same) Soup had no taste at all Main- steak was awful not good quality meat at all especially with the price,if your going to put it in the microwave make sure it aleast warm Fish - slimy and very wet also cold Chips - hard not cooked properly Cheese salad- salad well if you call lettuce on the turn salad no onion, tomato,cucumber Cheese on top was 3 slices not grated no source I really wouldn’t feed this to my dog was really bad Dirty tables Candle wax all over them Chipped plates VERY OVER PRICED staff came over to the table and asked if we could pay now VERY RUDE, UNFRIENDLY AND MADE US FEEL UNWANTED

Fabulous afternoon tea recently. Macaroons were to die for. Sat in the back of the pub, wasn’t the warmest but the coffee and cakes made up for that!

Fabulous Sunday dinner, served by attentive staff. Cannot fault the service even though the venue was busy.

Live music was a present surprise. Was served by several waitresses who made sure I always had a drink, including recommending their new ale Shipyard. Food was good, I had the braised pork belly and the portion size was perfect.

Manager was friendly and made the effort to talk to us throughout our meal, which was nice especially considering he was busy. Portion size was large but we still managed to clean our plates! Make sure to leave room for deserts.

If you’re happy to ask for your drinks to be bought over from the bar after they’ve been sat there for ages and then wait 45 minutes for your food not to be bought out - then give the last inn a visit!
