Lovely environment and friendly staff. Service was excellent. Food was generally really good - the pie and the rump steak were excellent and the duck curry was also very tasty however the SFC burger was just too spicy and combined with Cajun fries and the jalapeño coleslaw it was just too spicy to enjoy - needed something to balance the flavours. Overall though we would go again.

The only disappointment was that when we asked about the specials dishes we were not told that salmon was available, two of our party would have chosen this. I know you very often have a typed Specials menus, can I suggest these should always be given out with the main menu rather than expect the staff to remember all the special dishes available. Otherwise very good.

We booked a table for 2 + dog Saturday lunchtime. On arrival we were shown to a table and asked whether we were happy with it, which we were. The lunchtime menu had a good selection. The prices were reasonable given the quality of food that we were given. I was especially impressed with the cajun nachos which are homemade and delicious. The lovely lady serving us brought some treats for our dog, which didn't touch the sides!! All staff that we encountered were very friendly and welcoming, we will definitely be visiting again soon.

Absolutely outstanding Sunday roast, regular here food is excellent but yesterday's beef dinner was absolutely unbelievable (best Sunday dinner I've ever had) Staff are great also and never any delays with food and drink

Food was excellent as was the service. This has consistently been my experience at The Last Inn and I would recommend it to others. However, I didn’t realise we were going to eat on a quiz night and we found ourselves trying to have a conversation over the noise of a pub quiz. Would recommend this is highlighted to people when they book.

We’ve eaten at The Last Inn a few times now and each time the food has been delicious. Quick, friendly service, good choices on their menu and very tasty food.

We went to the Last Inn on mother's day and had a Sunday lunch and pudding. The food was well cooked, very tasty and nice and hot. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend

Have had many excellent meals previously we booked for Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day was advertised without a price but stating free glass of Prosecco for all mums, booked and paid deposit. Menu received prices had gone up £27.00 (2 courses) £32.00 (3 courses) including tea and coffee which my family don’t have, very expensive for what it is (Sunday lunch) having paid deposits we decided to go. No free Prosecco, starters came I ordered soup mine arrived five minutes after everyone else and was cold, mains all lukewarm nothing special, veg limp Yorkshire puddings soggy, five out of six of us didn’t enjoy the main meal and didn’t finish the meal, very disappointed. Previous review says they received free chocolate bars we didn’t receive any. Day was very unorganised.

Booked here for Mothering Sunday as had heard good reviews from friends. Have to say we were very disappointed. The starters were OK, main course was nice apart from the tiny portion of over boiled carrots and broccoli we had as a side (2 small portions for 6 adults) - No extra gravy, we had to ask for condiments, one of the dinners was late much later coming out than the others. The cheese board dessert consisted of some almost stale crackers, a slice of blue cheese and a slice of brie with some wilted celery. We had to ask for glasses to be cleared from the table. I don't think it as worth the £32 a head at all and and wouldn't rush back for a roast dinner. Maybe the weekday menu is better...

Our first time here for Mother's day Sunday lunch. We were pleasantly surprised . We had pre booked as recommended. The staff were excellent and even though they were very busy they made sure we got our table and drinks. Even though we had a wait for food when it arrived it was faultless, beautiful !. Would highly recommend but definitely book in advance.We will not hesitate to visit again

Have had Sunday Lunch here in the past and it was excellent food and value at £17.95 (2 courses), £21.95 (3 courses), so I booked in advance for Mother’s Day . We were asked to pay £10 deposit per head and to pre order once the menu was finalised. Once the menu was available I was taken aback to see the price for 2/ 3 courses had risen to £27 & £32 for Mother’s Day. There were a few extras like a blini each, tea/coffee and 2 small bars of black&white chocolate for the mums but I don’t think that amounts to any where near that increase per head. Having said that the beef was outstanding, the pork was good but very small portion at @ £21 for a main course. The increased price should have been highlighted when booking.

Booked a table for Mothers Day where the menu was fairly restricted and options of sides to add to the roast main was a hard no which was disappointing. Smoked salmon appetizers for each table were left on the bar at room temp and just going stale. Not the best site to be greeted with when entering the restaurant. Starters and mains were nice to be fair and portions were a really good size. Few other things that were off putting included the barman smoking an e-cigerette behind the bar, especially as our table was right next to him Also, the maitre d'hotel, who is very competent, seemed to be giving orders out in the restaurant to staff throughout our visit. It's not a great experience for customers to have to hear 'table 2 are ready to be cleared', 'can you relay that table please', 'can you check on that tables food' etc. These things should happen out of sight as it gives the impression that the staff are just food runners, rather than being able to think for themselves. Finally, a deposit was required prior to the visit. This was fine and given. Upon paying the bill, the deposit amount was wrong and the same thing happened just before us with the table across. Seemed to be no planning for who has payed what and keeping a track and making it seemless. Would go back, but the service and options for busier days needs some attention.

Booked table for 4 people days before, but on arrival no table had been allocated or set for us. Not impressed by staff member/landlord? smoking an e cigarette behind the bar. Service was ok but the steaks tasted like salt had been added before serving. Prices a little high. Will not be returning.

Had a meal here before Wales v Austria. Surprised it wasn't busier. Food is excellent value and good quality, service friendly and efficient. I will return when next in the area.

We came for a family lunch on a Monday. The new decor is clean and bright but a bit modern for an Inn. The good and service were excellent. 'But' we thought it was a bit pricey for basic cuisine. We'd expect to pay their prices for something we wouldn't cook ourselves.
