Pettigrew Tea Rooms – CardiffWe all enjoyed our meal at the Inn at Rhiwderin , and have no hesitation to return.
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportVery tasty food , very promptly served with a delightful accompanying wine list. Dining room setting is quirky but very tastefully decorated adding to an overall satisfactory environment.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportThe absolute best place been for the last 3 years and continue to be wowed every time Friendly and informative staff always wanting to go above and beyond. The food speaks for itself nothing too much trouble!
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportWe had a fantastic time celebrating our 7th anniversary at Llys Meddyg. The charming ambiance of the restaurant set the perfect tone for our celebration, and the delectable food surpassed all expectations, making our experience truly special.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportWe enjoyed our experience at Llys Meddyg overall. The food was very good, although we agree with other reviews about charging separately for sides. The service from our Portuguese person was very good and he was informative, entertaining and unhurried. Our female server however seemed rather to want us to hurry up and there was little chance to relax between courses!
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportAbsolutely gorgeous meal and one of the best vegan menus I've seen. Highly recommend, thanks
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaWarm welcome, excellent tasty food, good sized portions and excellent cheerful service to match.Prawn starter and Pakora starter were thoroughly enjoyed..and mains of ribeye steak, salmon and smashed beef burger were all very tasty!Highly recommend The Copper Pot. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
The Copper Pot – CardiganWe came as a party of 5. A truly lovely place. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food itself was beautiful. Super impressed with every meal. Highly recommend the mixed grill and the beef brisket tacos. Will be coming back !
The Copper Pot – CardiganService very slow. Food overpriced and portions minuscule. Side orders very expensive - main dishes only have garnish included. Wouldn’t recommend.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportAtmosphere and service were absolutely great. We had the Copper Pot Mixed grill to share and a side of cheesy garlic bread. The food was unbelievable. The ribs and chicken strips were 10/10.
The Copper Pot – CardiganHard to fault. Great food, excellent service and very well priced...great value and highly recommend.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportMy one sister in law and I had another lovely afternoon tea here, courtesy of my elder son (booked it from the States). My other sister in law was unfortunately taken ill, so we asked if we could take her tea home with us. My sis in law was asked which sandwiches etc her sister would like, and which cold drink. We picked the bag up on the way out, (along with our cakes, which again, we needed to take home as we were absolutely stuffed!), and it was only on the train home my sis in law looked, and realised the drink wasn’t in the bag. I think, due to it being Pride, they were a bit short-staffed (seemed fewer than when we had the same present off my son last year), and we’d also ordered another pot of tea between us, but that didn’t appear either, though had been put on the bill, as it was an extra. Obviously, we didn’t pay for that as we’d not had it. Other than that, a lovely afternoon again. (Not giving VfM, as it was a gift.)
Pettigrew Tea Rooms – CardiffLovely food (Sunday dinner), great value for money and 1st class service.
The Copper Pot – CardiganMe and my partner stayed at the hotel for two nights, and decided that we would eat at the restaurant both nights as it had such good reviews. A good decision, as the food, service and atmosphere were all exceptional. The first night we ate inside and the following night we ate in one of the canvas booths in the garden, and both settings were really lovely. Because the first night’s food was so good, I decided to try something I have done at excellent restaurants, which is to choose a meal I would not usually be too keen on, as I have generally found that great cooking makes any ingredient special. This time I chose the fish for the main course, and it was utterly delicious, the best hake by far I have ever tasted. All together a great experience, and highly recommended. We’ll be back!
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportLovely evening at Llys Meddyg. Great service throughout from Eli and the Portuguese staff member (sorry cannot remember his name). Lovely, innovative food, great setting, interesting wine menu. Fab
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportWe had a very enjoyable meal here. No intrusive music, or loud office parties, and excellent food. However I can't give it 5/5 because I resent being asked to buy all the components of a main course separately. I ordered the belly pork, which I can't fault. But who eats just meat alone? The "side orders" aren't optional for most people - potatoes and a green vegetable serving are an essential I would say. So a £22 main course suddenly becomes a £30 main course. Why not be honest and just price a whole meal? For people wanting something beyond the basic "burgers and chips" or "fish and chips" (the staples of just about every pub for miles around it seems), then this is a refreshing change. I have no quibble with the final bill, and if you want something more than basic pub food then this isn't to be missed. They appear to have no competitors in the area that we could find.
